watched the first 8 episodes, season 1 of Narcos over the weekend, great series so far.
Its great, loved it. I have watched both seasons.
Couple of slow patches, but pretty good.

i googled "how close to reality is narcos" and there are varying reports on how accurate to what actually happened it is. Escobars son says it makes a few errors which you would expect but overall it gets the big picture right. very brutal.

Yeah Luke Cage is my favourite. A couple of eps were a bit funny, but generally found it more legit.

Jessica Jones just took too long to get to that crazy guy being in the picture I thought ... but I rate it higher than Daredevil.
The acting of David Tennant carried JJ a bit, he was great in that. Cage spoilers for people that haven't seen it
After Cottonmouth was killed off I feel like Luke Cage dropped off a bit for me

I better binge watch the rest of Iron Fist so I can get an opinion going

Couldn't get into Jessica Jones... Netflix shows are quite hit and miss for me.

That said, really loving Iron Fist. Surprised to hear people criticising the martial arts. My father-in-law is a lifelong martial artist, and he's the one who put me on to it, because they actually have high technical accuracy, and they are actually choreographed based on the person's training (ie. having the kung-fu master doing kung fu - apparently not a common thing to get right, and not having characters call kung fu "karate" as happens all the time).

There was a good drunken fist style fight on the episode (8 I think?) I watched last night. It's getting better as it goes on, I probably wouldn't have stuck with it through the first 2 or 3 episodes if it didn't link to the Defenders

Latest episode of Designated Survivor is great, surprising twist, definitely stepping up a notch into legitimately good territory (IMO).

Anyone else watching Underground on Stan? Another really well done series.

DS has some absolutely awful one-liners. It popped up on my notifications this week that a new ep was out. You've got me intrigued now so I might persist with it.

For those who like believable sci-fi (an oxymoron for sure) the Expanse is really good. It took me a few tries to get into it, but absolutely worth it.

Love Rick and Morty, wasn't meant to be a knock on that btw.

Finished The Wire and onto Treme, which features many of the same actors. Absolutely loving this dramatic and musical gem. Just started Series 2.

If you like the Wire - Luther is still on Netflix - Idris Elba at his finest. Significantly better than The Wire.
Wow...getting Netflix tonight.

Just finished watching suits and narcos - loved both - and now have been recommended to start Vikings. I have watched 2 episodes but not sure - has anyone else watched it and if so is it worth hanging in there?

It's a stunning show overall, yes.

The most recent season is a little weaker, but the first handful are fantastic.

I really enjoy Vikings. Characterisations are pretty interesting because there personal ethics are fairly removed from modern Western values, although it is more high fantasy with mysticism rather than accurate historical drama.

Yeah definitely and that's what makes it way cooler than a crappy BBC reenactment or something.

I don't like the most recent seasons as much because of the new characters.

The Expanse was interesting but didn't fulfill its potential I think.
