TV Series You're Watching

I have only watched the first 3 episodes of the 2nd but it is one of those shows where the ending of each episode, ya just want to watch more. For me anyway.

I kept watching waiting for something interesting to happen. The linking thing was interesting but the characters were stereotypes and the 'baddies' and backstory were lame.

I thought Sense8 was a classic example of style over substance. The ending was so underwhelming for what was an interesting idea.

Haven't seen the second series yet.

There was huge doubt over whether or not there would actually be a second series when they finished the first. Trust me, the second makes it all make sense, and it actually becomes a central theme with a few really clever touches thrown in.

Yeah, we knew once we started the second series that the weekend was a bust for anything else.

I read somewhere once that Netflix gives you 17 seconds after each episode of what you're watching to decide what you're doing with your life. Generally I'd say the response is "f**k all right now!"

Can't wait to watch more of it with those rave reviews. Unfortunately will have to wait till the weekend, my wife likes to watch that endless reality TV garbage during the week. I'll stick to BF while she's watching that tripe.

Each to their own, and clearly it may not appeal to jackess , but the idea was unique to me, and you're thrust into a range of cultures and diversity in a pretty effortless way without really noticing it.

Sure the individual stories on their own may not be unique but what is now? The way it's tied together and how they end up bonded through more than their "sense" is whats different. There's also a lot of back story filled in with more detail on the hows and whys in the second.

Anyone watching American Gods?

Halfway through the second episode and it's pretty good. Ian McShane is a great actor.

Watched the first ep so far and enjoyed it. Very stylish.

New Twin Peaks on Monday

American Gods people, you're missing out. Loving it.

I have watched every episode (bar the one released today). I genuinely have no idea what is going on or whether the show is good or not.

What you all should be watching is The Leftovers. The series is coming to an end and will only be 3 season long. It is the best series I have ever watched (and I watch a lot of TV).

New Twin Peaks is epic David Lynch. He's clearly been given all the freedom and money he wants to make the craziest TV show.

Thanks Elixuh, I will make this my next series to watch on your recommendation. Big call though.:)

That's what makes it so great! It could potentially be one of the greatest shows ever or it could be a massive let down. The concept is great, there are so many characters that they will keep introducing and the fact you have no idea what is going on leaves you in suspense and you have to keep watching to see what happens.

Heard many good things about the leftovers, I'll check it out.

If you can get through season 1, you wont be disappointed. Really looking forward to how it ends.

More like his movies than the original TV show - but that's not a bad thing. Don't know if you could binge watch 18 episodes in one sitting though.

Its going to be good watching it week to week and catching a podcast or two in-between. I would recommend "The Gifted and the Damned" on that front.

I haven't watched the last couple of episodes of House of Cards but I thought this season was a bit of a let down. Didn't build the tension as well as earlier seasons and jumped around too much. Interesting but not thrilling.

There's a lack of scheming and seeing long-term plans come to fruition that made the first few seasons so great.

Yeah I felt the same thing on reflection of the latest season ... lack of other characters was a bit of a let down too.
The ending was a massive let down too. The whole "Ha-ha, it was my plan all along is a huge slap in the face.

Then they seem to just kill off everyone willy nilly. The deaths of Barnes and Russo were so shocking and powerful in the early seasons. Now it's like "Meh, LeAnn is dead, Yates is dead, Macallan is dead."

Watched the penultimate episode of House of Cards last night and was a lot more happy with the tension and twists.
