Tyson Stengle was a shit bag. Talented, hard to deal with. DUI and strike while renewing.
What the **** else were we supposed to do?
Retain while saying you can SANFL it for a year. That is ultimately Nicks Decision.
Get around it.

Fringe player at that time, any other club would have sacked him after his 2 chances but we gave him a 3rd chance to do the hard yard playing in the SANFL for us, he declined.

Pretty stupid decision of him to not toil away for sub par pay so that our club's rotting aristocracy could decide he's able to ply his trade. There was no other way to gain respect as an AFL footballer.

He did that in the end playing for the Eagle (still looked chubby BTW) in the SANFL and got selected by Geelong didn't he?

He told us to get stuffed, went it alone, and within two years is an all australian and premiership player.

Boy did we nail that one.

Why do people still think there was some universal need to punish after having the evidence before you that no one else in society cared?

He took responsibility for the full extent of the remorse necessary: which was none. And now he's an All Australian premiership player and we're smug losers with no accomplishments.

"We", don't talk for all of us. Absolutely right call at that time.

So many were frothing at the mouth to sack this talented kid, seemingly unaware of, or unable to process, the club’s obvious track record of bad judgement and incompetence.

You f*cking idiots should sack yourself from BigFooty.
We gave him a 3rd chance and he decide not to take it. His choice, we didn't sack him.

It could be decisive that it was the stupidest contract call in history because a payout was always there but the club said you need to sit a year out. Just so dumb.

Ever asked yourself why Adelaide couldn’t straighten him out, and Geelong not only straightened him out but turned him into a premiership-winning superstar?

If you haven’t, then you should.
Maybe when you find yourself throwing away your career, you change yourself for the better to even get yourself more fitter....just maybe that's what happened, very plausible conclusion don't you think?
