One decision and one non-decision. Yep, it did in this case. I know you're feeling guilty but get over it and get on with it.

Worst umpiring ever, Weagles should be overwhelmed with guilt at taking the win

Doubt it

Never saw Victorian based teams being overwhelmed with guilt at taking a win when they got an undeserved home final

Seems people still aren't getting it so i have to repeat this:

I have just finished watching the replay on Fox Footy and I am absolutely stunned by the amount of crap posted on this forum saying the Swans were robbed. Here are a few things I took from the game.

1. The Stenglein free was the wrong decision. Hard to say exactly what the intention of both players was but Stenglein moved about a foot off his line and braced himself for a bump which was delivered. May have been an attempted shephard may not have been. The commentators thought it was the wrong decision so lets just accept that it was and subtract it from the other five or so free kicks that we should have been paid during the game. With about 15 minutes to go there is no way you can say that one incident won the game for West Coast, Sydney had several chances to put us away after that goal.

2. Goodes was not tripped. Wirrapunda was not holding his legs when he fell over. He probably did trip as a result of the tackle but it was not an illegal tackle. The commentators didn't have a problem with the decision and neither do I. With about eight minutes to go I still don't think this was the reason West Coast won the game. If Goodes had received a free kick and kicked a goal who's to say that we wouldn't have got one straight back? There was certainly enough time for a few more goals.

3. We played a better game than Sydney and we DESERVED to win. Sydney put on a flood comparable to the Tsunami disaster and they still couldn't put us away. We got the ball inside 50 eight more times than Sydney and in the last quarter we finally took our chances. Sorry Sydney but that crap will not win you any Premierships.

I understand that all you anti-eagles morons will not agree with me but to be honest I couldn't give a tos$. We deserved to win and we won the game fair and square. Anyone who doesn't believe this is an ignorant, one-eyed fool.

That is all.

Likewise

The stenglien incedent wasnt what changed the game either as many posters have said

It was the miss kick from the Sydney defender that Hunter goaled from after Sydney missed a few chances very early in the last quarter

Immediatly after that(about the 15 min mark) Steve Quartermaine mentioned he could tell there was a change in the game

Then the not exactly un-biased Walls also noted that the crowd had responding to this and had creating a coloseum type atmoshpere.

From that point on for about 10 minutes the Swans were on the backfoot and went forward for only about 10 seconds in this period from which O'loughlin scored a goal (which BTW took them back to a 9 point lead just after the incorrect Stenglien free kick)

The Eagles were all over a rapidly tiring Sydney for most of the last quarter and dodgy decision or not deserved to win the game

God this is getting boring. Stenglein kicked a ripper goal from 52m out after a dodgy free kick was paid. GET OVER IT!

Sorry, dodgy and WRONG. Better?? Stenglein still had to kick the goal though so it's all academic really. Time to build the bridge me thinks.
