How was the deliberate handball through the goals from 15m out?

Handballed it way too hard and high fofnit to be a legitimate attempt to get it to a teammate.

What disgusted me today was the glaring difference of Holding the Ball interpretations. We got crucified.but the Hawks got away with so much.

Those ducking free kicks were an absolute disgrace. Firstly because the players are basically cheating and secondly because the maggots were the only 4 out of 92,000 people that didn’t see them. I can’t watch this game sometimes.

They saw them. The maggots were a very minute group of 92,311 that actually thought it was a free.

What's crazy was, I feel like they were horribly wrong with some of the free kicks they actually PAID to us.

The one that Cumbo got for getting crashed into in a marking contest wasn't there IMO. The defender did nothing wrong. Didn't take him high, didn't have front-on contact, didn't chop his arms. It was just a hospital pass where the defender's body slammed into Cumbo's back. No free.

Yeah, then they miss fhe blatantly obvious free to Kozi during the first quarter who was held and scragged by Sicily who had his back turned to the ball. Not a single whistle...

HTB rule thrown into the bin for our games.
Ginnevan begin again dropping the knees ,blatantly obvious yet the umpires can't see it in the best position?

Free Kick counts for Richmond:

2W 1D 24L

The surplus from the 2 wins is 2 free kicks, ie 1 per win.

The deficit from the 24 losses is 142 free kicks, ie 6 per loss.

This is not going to be the result of individual umpires not being good enough, there must be some influence on all umpires to be biased against Richmond in order for the above results to arise. I sat with a Hawks supporter yesterday to watch the game and showed him these stats. He said that cannot be right, as in it cannot result from fair umpiring.

Nobody has mentioned the Dusty dropping the ball free kick in the middle, where it was fair enough he was tackled and missed his foot when he went to kick. The only trouble is the tackle was clearly above the shoulder, so illegal. Should have been +1 to us instead -1 to us, unfair 2 free kick swing right there.

I noticed that Dusty one too MR. I yelled at the telly ‘But it’s a high tackle!’ So bloody frustrating.

And don’t get me started on that midget forward dropping his knees and throwing his head back. Dead set cheat. And the stupid umps fall for it. 🤬

Couldn't agree more on that cheating little prince in the Hawks forward line, the man on the moon could see what he was doing there before he even did it. Absolutely shocking umpiring errors.

Commentators - basically nothing to see here. Say Shai Bolton did that. He would be branded across 50 media outlets within milliseconds.

The whole thing is a disgusting seething putrid mess of corruption.

Honestly thought that free kick was completely justified. It was the several examples afterwards against the Hawks that made me grin with my teeth clenched. The calls are so inconsistent

Drawing high contact should be penalized as "staging". Ginnivan and Watson repeat offenders and I guarantee Ginnivan has coached Watson to play for those frees. Once the head is brought into the tackle deliberately to draw the free, then it is either "play on" or the player should be cited by the MRP. It is ALWAYS small forwards (exception is Duckwood). First time offence should be automatic 1 weeks, the second time 2 weeks etc etc....I guarantee is stops after Ginnivan's third offence missing 3 weeks.

The difference in last night's game was we didn't throw our heads back (Baker twice) to draw the free kicks. Hawks know they will get the frees, so they will keep doing it until they are no longer paid in finals.

Penalise ducking as a free kick. Wasn't rhe whole thing ducking into tackled or leading with the head considered forfeiting prior and would be a HTB? Need to actually enforce that.

100%. I was at the game and sent Michaels a message saying that I wished we got the HTB that the Hawks did.

I would be genuinely interested to know how many HTB decisions each team received. We had more tackles but I would put the house on the fact the Hawks had more HTB go their way.

100% correct - The umpires used to pay these frees, but have relaxed it completely to the point that they will call "play on" rather than HTB. That was exactly what they did with ginnivan's first ducking incident.

Ginnivan, Moore, Watson are all cheats. Even Nash on the sideline was mimicking the shoulder shrug yet somehow the umps missed every single one.

Rule should be adjusted so that the moment players start the shrug/throw head back, it can't be given too high cause clearly the player is trying to draw a free. It's also basically impossible for a tackle to not slip high when a player is tackled on the arm and then they shrug and throw the head back.

Behaviours change. Vlastuin and Grimes used to do this all the time and then changed. The players mentioned above are cheating grubs.
