Rewatched the game today, noticed at half time FK count was 12-9 our way. Watched second half more closely, next 3 Frees came first half of last quarter, finishing us with 15 to their 22.

I also paid attention to Minivan, that kid throws himself around worse than Duckwood and amny others ever have. How he hasn't been fined yet for staging is beyond me, while the commentators just laugh it off as him being gifted in receiving frees?? Campaigners!!

Actually wish the state leagues would all refuse the AFL tinkerings and watch the 2nd tier grow as a better spectacle.

NRL do a few things better where this is concerned. I like that if a player is in their protected zone wrongly, provided they have no impact whatsover (no blocking etc) they are considered neutral (not sure of the exact term) - but that seems way more logical to me than having to impact the game unnecessarily. Umpires must be made more like the children they are - seen but not heard! I don't say that as a put down so much, but rather the impact they have needs to be softer on the game. They are currently deciding some games, and that is so utterly wrong and the thin edge of the wedge. Good umpires have never wanted that!!!!!

Once in a blue moon Riewoldt might get a soft one but generally that is against the 4 genuine ones missed. Drives me insane, real blatant ones too like push in the back while kicking, tackling opponent does a 360 etc

Went to a 90th out in Ballarat today. Met my cousin’s partner finally and turned out he’s an absolute DIEHARD football lover. Carlton supporter but also a good bloke, and he said he doesn’t mean anything bad but he just happens to absolutely hate Richmond.

Anyway, he said that despite all that, and something he was just telling a mate the other day, was that Richmond get absolutely wrecked by the umpires, and he has no idea why. We never get the same 50-50 calls as other sides. He said in comparison he reckons Blues have been getting a good ride recently, but that yeah whenever he watched Richmond he can’t believe how badly we cop it.

To have that coming from a super passionate Carlton supporter who openly hates us, that just tells you, something is NOT ****ING RIGHT.

Sure enough I turn on the AFL app and see 17-5… what in the actual heck…
