The Gulden non free was a shocker - wonder if the AFL will apologise to us for that? Nearly cost us the game.
Up there with what the AFL have done to us...
Cut Lunch's Arc non-video review...
Mansell rub out...
Dimma to the GCS...

This one frustrated the everliving s**t out of me. Once Gulden ducked there goes his prior opportunity.

The rules are extremely clear on this. That was a textbook holding the ball and would've resulted in just about the sealing goal rather than the margin being under a kick for the next few mins before JGTI stepped up.

What's the point of 4 umpires if none of them can call this??? It's either utter incompetence in them not knowing the rules or they decided to not pay it as it would've resulted in a Richmond goal. Either way it's just dogshit adjudication.

Adding on to this is the commentary. I don't know how much they're getting paid but not one of them said it should've been called holding the ball and was almost a sliding doors moment. They have access to the umpires microphones same as us, and would've heard the ump say that Gulden ducked hence why it wasn't paid high. Again, either utter incompetent commentating or they're being told to not mention clear missed free kicks (although they don't seem to mind calling them out anytime Buddy goes near the ball).

Yep and you can bet your bottom dollar if it was the other way one of the commentators wouldve mentioned it about how stiff they were not to get a free - i swear we're being gas lighted by these pricks

Another one that irked the shyte out of me was when Vlastuin marked just near the Swans goal square, stepped directly back towards the middle of their goals (as is the rule when going back from the mark), Papley followed him back, and the ump immediately called play on as soon as Tigger stepped sideways.

This has been a 50 metre penalty for 2.5 years now. Papley should've been instructed to "STAND!", and when he ran over the mark, penalised straight away.

Again, nearly cost us a goal, if not for the deftness of foot of Vlastuin.

If that’s the play I’m thinking of Vlas was heard saying “that is embarrassing” in the umps mic. Again, another rule change for a Richmond game

Not sure if I have this right but at one point when Soldo marked inside 50 and then was awarded a 50m penalty why did he still have a player on the mark on the goal line? I always thought that if the 50 extends beyond the goal line there is no one on the mark?

Probably to remind Ivan where the mark was so he didn't run into the fence before kicking it :D

Still waiting for Riewoldt to get one free kick in front of goal. Poor bloke is bear-hugged every single contest with a 2nd defender coming over the top.

He is umpired completely differently to a Curnow/McKay/Max King who the moment they get any contact receive free kicks.

This is the first time the commentary team was questioning the unpires
That's what got me. They repeatedly replayed really bad decisions. Haven't seen that before.

Hopefully such completely obviously bad decisions means something will change.

It wasn't so obvious at the ground but on watching the replay poor Jack was fair dinkum murdered by the umpires on Saturday. And I think there were about 5 clear wrong decisions/non-decisions against us and just about none our way. It had a big scoreboard impact as well. Between that and the Hawks dribbling goals through out of their arse and not missing set shots, we have done pretty well to get the win in the end.

The TV corporates are not happy about paying such a large sum for a game that now has no hard fast rules and neither makes sense on a consistent basis!
To a TV watcher the game makes no consistent sense...
And the game would be a SPUD to sell overseas...
Time for some smart changes...

A game played against two teams...Richmondy V both the Pooh/Wees and the Maggotts!

Think the umpiring has been really poor of late. If they put as much effort into calling the basics as they do the hybrid rules, things would improve markedly. Players getting inconsistent amounts of time for prior opportunity. Marks being denied that once were. Dragging or being caught with the ball under no longer seems to be a thing. I expect mistakes, but unsighted with four of the mongrels out there now is just not on. The golden glove of Steve Hocking has been terrible for the game.

I'd still like there to be three scorelines, include the scores from direct umpire decisions.
