These guys are all 17 already and will top age TAC players next year this thread is for '07 Under 16s. Tom Hill is another one who may feature especialy if he continues to grow.

Take your spot in the queue. He is too young for next years draft, but I'm already #1 ticket holder in his fan club.

Scully will get all the love and is a better player at this stage, but I'm a big wrap for Melksham.

He must be 172cm or just under then :p:).

I'm a fan of Melksham too :thumbsu:

Nah, he's an absolute monster standing at 181cm. :p

Fantastic composure and very good pace too, but I guess this is all a story for the equivelant thread at this time next year.

I've got a feeling he'll be missing a bit of footy with the Cannons through Vic Metro. Plus, he only played six games this year.

A bit off topic, but which 16 year old would have played the most TAC Cup games this season? Liam Shiels and Tindarra Hood seemed to be in the Ranges and Knights sides a lot and from looking up their stats they played nine and eight games respectively. Eastern do love playing their 16 year olds and the Knights were getting into it a bit this year too.

Has anyone mentioned Jack Watts from Sandringham he missed the U16 Carinval through injury hes 190+ and very quick.

Look jack is no doubt a talented sportsman . There might be just a little cloud over his head as to how good he really is . Over the last 2 years he has not played a lot of good footy . He missed rep footy in u15's and u/16s and was out half the year or more with an injury (collarbone ) so he hasnt had much of a go at the top line .Theres no doubt he will come on just going to be an interesting year for him .

no-one has mentioned John Butcher - tall - missed this years U/16 carnival with stress fractures in his back - AIS this year with Ziebel and Rusty

Is he good enough??? similar to Watts in that has been injured alot throughout the year, not playing championships or TAC so is he up to the grade?? Has he played any good football yet?

He was only 16 this year and probably wouldn't have see any TAC action anyway. Missed the champs with stress fractures and probably the rest of the season as a guess.

I have seen him in a trial game for Vic Country Vs Metro at Victoria Park prior to his enforced rest. He played a game for Country A vs Metro B and had a blinder for me. The selectors had seen enough to reward him with an AIS selection. Would like to have seen him at the carnival but I reckon he's got what it takes, moves well, can mark, good presence, takes good options, yeah good enough for me.
