Now snake93.

Let me put the record straight here !
there are commiss home and there are commiss people.

Having grown up in a commiss home, i would like to distant myself from commiss people.

I happend to wander across a number of the games on the weekend , unfortunately i ended up at the lalor football ground to watch part of the greensy/preston rsl clash which i thought may end up tight.

the crowd at the top end of the ground were an example of commiss people, although that probably does a disservice to the decent ones.

as a bystander to hear the drunken slobs swear and encourage players to hit others was very low indeed. worst thing was it was the women who were the most foul mouthed.

so please ensure that we seperate the decent commiss people to the socially challenged, uneducated, sponge on society vermon that were at the lalor ground sunday afternoon.

Thanks:thumbsdown:

Now Pocketer, as the most prolific person on big footy , i can only say well done to you for your comments, albeit only on divvy 1.

Now to the teams who won, well done, and to the coaches , allen, tofts, callaway & paterson also.

divvy 1; Seems greensy ones werent as certainty as you predicted, little birdy told me that they were lucky ? although goal kicking machine williams was oout of action early in the game? thanks god for conte, shaw, & riddle in the last qtr.
should riddle have played and others missed out on playing in any of the greensy teams ? I wouldnt like to give up my spot for someone who has hardly played !
divvy 2; well do to the morang boys, i tohught the doggies couold get up , but a leopard doesnt change its spots, and the doggies went back to old ways, not being albe to control players and supporters, time the kennel should be burnt down ?
divvy 3 ; greensy 2's one of the games i ended up at , hold you head up boys, as i mentioned the dole bludging, social handout scum & vermon of the preston rsl club showed their true colors. not sure if all the reports have it right yet, but hey, things will never change as long as you mix drink with low life.

divvy 4 ; searchers. well done, as expected and a shallow victory, would be good for you guys to play one of the other winners to see if it was nt a shallow victory.
till next year all you big footy scribes and lets hope the NFL get there act together and wipe out some of the idots who destroy the game and the enjoyment of others.(especially on the west side of plenty road)

You are not lucky when you are the best side all year. losing Williams in the first quarter was a big loss, imagine Monty if they lost larcom-cooper.
Boro got beaten in the first quarter, matched Monty in the second, outplayed them in the third with twice as many scoring shots and a few out on the full also, (may have been even at three quarter time if they kicked straight) and ran over them in the last. They nearly ran out of time but that is not luck they deserved to win. Monty played a great game but unfortunately there has to be a loser. Well done to them they tested boro all the way. Playing the prelim didn't help them fitness wise with time on in the granny but that is why winning the second semi is important.

As far as Riddle playing he has played his whole junior career at the club, missed last years grand final win with a broken collarbone, played 4 games during the year when allowed, came to watch most other games and asked the knights if he could play with boro in a grand final. Played a sensational game in the final and a great finish to a fantastic junior career.
What if someone misses 10 games with an injury, are you saying he shouldn't then play in a grand final because he hasn't played enough games . I don't think so.
Some boys missed a game on the weekend which is hard to take, but they also have medals as they are a very impotant part of the teams getting to the grannies. Those boys should be congratulated on the way they handled themselves.

Well said, GO BORO.
I must say I felt so bad for the four boys who had to miss out on our grand final seeing as we had too many numbers. A shame seeing as they put in so much during the year.

Im sure those boys will have another chance next year? Or were they top age? Got a feeling Mont and Yarrambat will drop off, Search will a gf contenders, but with the Gboro 15s of 09 coming through, not sure if the boro can be a contender for 3 in a row. I guess only time will tell.

As for impartial, agree with your comments, although your suggestion of 'burning down the kennel' is valid in hindsight of the weekend's events, the North Heidelberg footy club is still a respectible footy club, especially in the seniors. Asides from the juniors who appear to never change as time goes on (Lets just say ive seen them infrequently over the last 7 years), the senior club has really cleaned itself up (asides from a certain unfortunate incident that happened last weekend) and turned itself into a respectible and competitive footy club.

In retrospect, it wouldnt be right to kick Norf & RSL out, but action needs to be taken, even if it means putting them on a bond or something that could cause them to go under financially.

Will miss your wit Pocketer in the off season, always looked forward to your posts, your predictions were generally very accurate, hope you and Bulldog have a happy life together!!!!!!!!!!!!

i totally agree with you mate there and stand corrected i saw those spectators and those are the people who were behind the goals were disgraceful but all i can say is BORO 09 BABY

can someone please paint the picture of the boro-monty game where johnston kick the goal? like the lead up and yea
From what I heard when Mont were up by 5 points, Toby Deylen had a shot in the pocket but shanked it out on the full. Then Robbo took the kick back in and bombed it to Conte or Jack, who booted it to Shawry who turned around and dished the handball to Jack on the 50 and GOALLLL. BORO.

But that was kinda what I got told from half the guys, I was too busy playing scum.

Youre pretty much spot on there Ryan. The run from Shawry/Johnson happened along the scoreboard side wing, and the kick was on about a 10-20 degree angle, just on 50. Immediately proceeded one of the largest roars ive ever heard at a local footy game.

divvy 4 ; searchers. well done, as expected and a shallow victory, would be good for you guys to play one of the other winners to see if it was nt a shallow victory.

Let me tell you, in no way was it a shallow victory buddy.
The whole side was bottom age except, i think, 2 players who wanted to play with their mates.

Was South Morangs Victory shallow cause they weren't in divvy 1??
And what about Greensy 2's, that must've been a shallow victory also.

Research could only play in the division they were allocated into. There was a request to go up a division after the first couple of rounds, but the league didn't move us up.

I agree with the decision for Riddle to play. As mentioned earlier, 'when he is allowed to play'. Being at IGS and a listed player with the Knights, he is ony 'allowed' to play on certain weeks.

I watched the Sth Morang vs Nth Heid GF. I wanted to leave art half-time, however I could feel that something was brewing! A very good game to watch (skills were very poor) however both teams gave it their all. I was surprised how many unfit U/17 players were running around.

Anyway - The all in player brawl started about 5 mins prior to the siren sounding to end the game. Thank Christ that the player brawl was occuring on the side of the South Morang supporters. If it occured on the Nth Heid side, I would have expected the worst. A Nth Heid supporter even entered the ground and made it to the middle of the ground, before the Nth Heid trainer (Skasey I believe) ran up to him and screamed for him to get off the ground.

I wouldn't mind reading other people's descriptions of what they saw during this game.

The Nth runner (father of one of the junior players I believe) also had his head screwed on right. Even if his son did not! The runner tried to hold back #6 of Nth Heid, in a similar way that you would expect a parent to hold a screaming little toddler. #6 (Paul Brown I believe) eventually freed himself from his jumper, and ran back to continue his part in the brawl. The runner was left holding Paul's jumper and wondering what the hell was going on.

From what I saw, #6 was the instigter of the brawl. He threw about 10 left and rights aimed towards the head of a South Morang player while they we rolling on the ground.

Prior to the brawl, Nth had approx 6 yellow cards dished out and 1-2 Red Cards dished out. Most of these were for verbal comments towards the Umpire, not violent acts. Except for one player who tried tripping Kevin K after a 25 metre penelty was awarded against him. That would have to be one of the dumbest acts I have seen on a foty field.

I missed the hit that was dished to the Umpire at the end of the game. I thought that it was the blonde tipped player (#26 ??) only because he was closest to the umpire when i was alerted that something had happened. There was so much going on I couldn't watch it all. I have since heard that it was alledgly J.Young's mother that struck the Umpire.

I did watch the Umpire then run from the field, scared for his safety, while only 1 Umpire excort triled about 15 metres behind. Great escorting there.

As a nuetral observer, I thought that the Umpiring was in favour of South Morang. For the entire game. It seemed to me that the ticky touch frees were paid to South Morang, however not to Nth Heid. As I walked the ground, and watched from different vantage points, I could feel (and hear) the Nth supporters becoming increasingly frustrated. It was only a matter of time before something happened. Hence me staying post half time.

North did have the chance to win the game in the last, kicking with the strong wind. However it looked like South Morang had superior fitness, which allowed them to continue to run hard into the wind during the last. Nth just could not get a score on the board close enough to get within contention of winning. Then the brawl started.

I can understand the frutration that Nth supporters would have felt as the game progressed, however I couldn;t understand their actions.

I notice that Nth changed their coach half way through the year. I do not know who coached them this day (I would like to know). He cosistantly screamed instruction to his players during the game (you have a runner to send out messages) and at the huddles addressed the team and gained their attention like a very inexperienced coach. Then at the end of the game, once both group of supporters were surrounding their playing group and within 2 metres of each other, it was the coach who wanted to go on with it and needed to be restrained by other staff/supporters.

I woulnd't mind reading other peoples version of what they saw during this match.
I was at the game & thought the umpiring was good & didnn't favour either side.In the last quarter Morang got more free kicks because of North's undiscipline. The North runner did his best to keep the North boys focussed & tried to hold back some North players when the fights started.Once North didn't think they could win all hell broke loose.North actually still had time to win the game but instead they abused & went the knuckle. They only have themselves to blame.
