Unique DT Players

Of course. Time it right and that is a straight swap to a 105 player.

Very good point. Doesn't always work that way though as often other injuries or donuts take precedence and the guy averaging 85 isn't the biggest problem in your team anymore:D

It would seem people are only going the one mid price... Is any going the two mid pricer strategy with two premiums?

Probably not going to be in anybody's DT but quietly doing well making the move into Port's midfield is Matty Broadbent. 55, 77 in NAB 2 + 3 and would've posted something decent against the Giants too with a lot of the ball + 2 goals (take it with a grain of salt). He's got DP, reasonably good job security and as I said has been playing on ball/ up forward a fair bit. If he could average 75 which i think is plausible, perhaps could use him to upgrade to someone else seeing as Port don't have the bye until R12.

He's not in my team but just some contribution on my part. :)

Your not another port supporter talking about port players and how good they are again, are you??

As for the above post, ill be taking a midpricer who i think can become keeper/premium. I think you need one of these each year to actually win, of course it has to work out to win. Hes quite unique from what ive heard around BF, hasnt been mentioned much.

Hopefully he can be my Montagna 2009, K.Simpson/Boyd 2010.

No, I was just enlightening a player to people who they may not know or have thought about given that most posters, generally, don't know much about Port. Geez.

But FWIW, Broady's a gun.

I am going 3 and 2.

With 3 players on the bench now, surely that is enough cash cows to have. Would it be better to start a few mid pricers who can score more than rookies to start with and can then be benched for depth later in the season? I think we will get plenty of money from the extra bench spots and have quality players for coverage.

3-2-1 here.
Looking at sloane and Salopek. Have always loved Salopek and reports have him going well so fingers crossed he can go well so by ports first bye I have decisions to make.

At this early stage I'm mixing it up and going 2-2-2.

I nearly always go 3-1-2 but this year I like some of the mid pricers and rookies in the middle.

Suprised by the lack of love for everitt! Saves 100k on a premium. and I think its pretty dangerous to take both grimes and broughton, which most have as 4th/5th. I would be inclined to take grimes as 4, and take everitt at 5... should do enough to end the year at number 7 on the field

Reckon you're on to something, have him in my team too, especially with the injury to Malceski, reckon Everitt could play all 22.

At the end of last year he was getting around the 80 mark for the dogs. I think with eski out early, he's definately up for that role- he was an early draft pick, there is a reason the swans went after him. Swans re invent players, and the perfect role has opened up. Also has the versatility to play other roles if needs be when eski returns.

In response to the morton vs lecras qtn, answer is elsewhere. who do u have in your forwards? Le cras is not a dream teamer, certainly not when playing for eagles. Morton is a big risk, despite his NAB cup and his end to last year, he'll be rotating through the mids at best I reckon. Not saying that he couldn't bust out some big scores, but there are some far more calculated risks to be taken around that price

Looking for a unique/mid pricer in the forward line. Have narrowed it down to Fyfe, Duncan or T.Walker. Not concerned by the price differences, just peoples thoughts on who they think would be the best pick regarding scoring, room for improvement, job security etc.

Cheers in advance.

Taylor walker has good js, but there is no way I would pick him. You'd think the crows will improve, but not enough for walker to have any fantasy impact. I know he's improving, but he's not the right sort of player for dt. 1 hundred in 34 games sums it up for mine. Duncan has the worst js of the 3, but probably the most upside I'd say. Fyfe is probably the middle man in both, not as secure as walker, and not as much upside as Duncan. I personally wouldn't be taking any of these guys, but between them I'd probably take fyfe over duncan - just

Knights > Yarran > Duncan > Davis is how I value the mid priced fowards. I wouldn't take Fyfe or Walker above any of those 4.

I would. Fyfe is almost like a utility. Will be put on the wing, down forward, down back, where ever they need him.

I'd take Yarran over Fyfe though...just.

what do you think lecras or m.morton?

or spend my 360,000 in the bank on someone else?

Morton, as he's more likely to play midfield than LeCras.

Wondering if Robbie Tarrant could be a good bench pick? In most Kangaroo's supporters teams and priced at about 30?

It depends on whether he gets edged out by Grima when he returns. Check North board and injury updates before lockout.

Maybe do some research into 2nd year players that have avg as well as Fyfe, Duncan did in there first year and see what they avg in the next year. I think history may tell you that 2nd year players that have these avgs from first year dont improve that much.

from the final Freako ...

Yarran: 83, 80 p/s av
Duncan: 51, 77 p/s av
Fyfe: 91, 82 p/s av

this has made the decision no easier. :(

yeah, I do.

this would be my 5th forward.
