Lol looking at stats starting with Cornes, and I just seen across 2018 - 2019, out of 29 games, Charlie Dixon only kicked multiple goals on 7 occasions.

7/29.

I don't care how much time he spent in the ruck, that's unacceptable for a majority of the time KPF.

Thank goodness he's found a bit of form recently.
More evidence to say he's at best a resting ruckman being played as a ff.

Primus better than Boak

AFL Only

1. Tredrea
2. Gray
3. Boak

They’re the three that have it all above everyone else (inc. Wanganeen who played half his career elsewhere).

Longevity, accolades, the numbers.

The only other player who ticks all three boxes is Kane Cornes, but even at his best he was never as consistently indispensable or valuable as the others were/are.

Significantly more forus, doesn’t include his magpie games either.

his match winning ability beats Boak IMo

...and that he's better at both those roles than Ladhams is currently.

Mitch Full Forward Todd CHF and Dixon the tall marking target works well. The midfielders need to spread their love more

P. Burgoyne and Chadbro are both above Boak and will be unless Travis wins a flag. Wanganeen too.

Travis has longevity and captaincy in his favour IMO.

In the grand scheme of things you have to take longevity, AA's etc into the mix but if I'm being honest there's probably half a dozen blokes I'd pick in the midfield before Boak from our AFL history.

Although on occasions I do agree we get hard done by with umpiring (such as the Collingwood game), I think the reason we are negative on the free kick count is because we are sloppy and lazy with tackles
We play a lot of dumb undisciplined football and it seems like it is not being addressed in any way shape or form.

We seriously undervalue Kane Cornes's career
If he had retired at the end of 2014,
OR played through to the end of 2015,
OR stuck at being a fireman..

Then the bitter taste in the mouth would probably not exist and he would be judged more fairly.

We were one kick off a grand final in 2014, then in 2015 he (with kens help) selfishly railroaded our season and any flag chance we might have had. Screwed over his teammates as well as the club.

I don't care who it is, retiring a quarter of the way through the year with the only intention to reach an individual milestone is an incredibly selfish act and deserves to be ridiculed. The fact that we were one kick away from the GF the year before and needed some real leadership to right the ship makes it even worse.
