Pittard has come along leaps and bounds the last 2-3 years, whilst many have gone backwards. When he cops undeserved abuse, whilst others slack off and still get praised, why wouldn't he start to feel like elsewhere looks better? There's been no serious 'line in the sand' by senior players to lead us up again, like 2013.

If we miss finals again, the only reason I could see Pittard sticking around is out of loyalty to Ken after Ken showed that same loyalty to him through his rough patches in 2013-2014. If Ken goes, Pittard will go. If Ken doesn't go, Pittard still might.

Some journalist said:
The Cats could be a potential destination given Pittard grew up in Torquay and played for the Geelong Falcons alongside Tom Ruggles.

Round 5 2016 said:
Luke Darcy: Haaaw, it's on again!
Brian Taylor: And it's on again at ground level!
Luke Darcy: Pittard just cleaned up Ruggles!

Even these preseason losses would be damaging our brand and hurting our bottom line. Can call them practice games as much as you like but nothing is showing us they'll turn it around and flick any switches that have been off since 2014. If we get 60k members again this year I'll be amazed.

Serious question. Does Pittard have any mates at the club? I have never seen him in any social setting with any other player and I have never heard him mention doing anything with any other player or speaking about who at the club he was close with. I've heard him mention his girlfriend a few times, but never another team mate.

See him on players Instagrams all the time. Appears pretty close to the Hoff

lol, why are we still worried about players staying or leaving?

If anyone over 25 is attracting interest from an opposition club, they can pack their bags.

As I was putting in my product this morning I was thinking the exact same thing. I have fallen well and truly out of love with this group.

Adios muchachos

Unpopular Port Adelaide opinion you may have - That I'm here feeling so negative about the year and it's two pre-season games in! but you can't help but know we are all right! How many times have we wanted to be proven wrong but each week seems the same old step and repeat.....

Yup, we are not one piece away, but rebuild time.

The more I see them on Twitter/Instagram getting photos with that LukeyDTD ****wit the more I fall out of love with them.

Let's get around these legends.

Look, they're allowed to have lives, but man it's frustrating when for 7-8 months of my life per year, my mood is dependant on these prima donnas and it looks like they don't give a shit at times.

Can't decide if this is an unpopular opinion or not...

How many people think Boak is going into his last year of his captaincy ?

If Ken is sacked I could see the new coach naming a new captain.

The only saviour is that it is early in the season and we already know what we need to improve. So hopefully we can tidy it up, improve and instead of peaking early in the season we can peak late.....

That's the only positive I'm holding onto right now. We've certainly got the depth, and I believe we have enough talent to turn anything around, so I just sit here with baited breath hoping that we can, and that we can somehow sneak through the first 4 weeks of the season 2-2

My personal belief is its time for a new direction, but who knows what will actually happen. Was a wonderful "lead by example" captain in 2013-14 and picked the team up at crucial times to win some big games. Is a shadow of that captain now.
My choice would be Jack Hombsch.

I 100% agree with that. If he can get back to that level I'd never happy for him to continue, if not time for a new young captain that does exactly that, leads by example.

Hombsch certainly does that, as does Wines, but I'd like to see him improve is Disposal if he's going to become captain.

This has been me since March '15, stealing someone else's line but it feels like the one season has been going for two plus years. Same old same old week after week.
