Rowbottoms magnet is glued to the team board and rightly so.
Maybe we can argue he can be taken off the leash more , but then who do I want streaming out of the middle with it? Gulden , Heeney or Rowy?
He is a heart and soul type player and I think his season has been pretty good.
Won't make the All Australian but yeah not sure what some want from him.

On a positive how good does Blakey strike the ball going for goal. He made the long shot look easy as.
Could he push a bit further up the ground more often? Guess we miss the half back drive.
Sometimes I just wish Horse threw things around a bit more, like Blakey at a bounce or Hayward to the backline , or an opponent to Vlaustin

I'd love to see blakey spend some time in the middle. With his size he could be a real point of difference. The only issue is that he's such a weapon off hb

Anyways the key word is "former" partner so i dont get the whole argument to begin with you dont own the person if things are mutually over.
Sort of like Brownless and Garry Lyon situation which i thought Lyon did absolutely nothing wrong and had his career almost flushed down the toilet.

Yer thats fair but whats the timeframe you give to this sort of thing 1year, 2years, never? its bound to happen players and wags regularly travel in groups and socialise.
So he was stood down then. It's odd that the club and even the mods here tried to contain the situation by lying to us:
As per previous mod comments. Wicks wasn't stood down, he needed a break and they give it to him to help get himself sorted.

Wicks soap opera doesn’t excuse the missed tackles or poor forward 50 entries.
I’m a bit baffled as to why we can’t call a spade a spade - he was stood down.
But here’s hoping the soapy ends & focus returns to the right things.

Hope wicks hasn't been hung out to dry from the club. Looks like a bit of senior player got off but wicks paid the price. Poor form based on what we know.
We need someone with wicks skillset to compliment the other fwds. Evident lack of fwd pressure was a big factor in losing the match.

Thought Ollie was pretty good, certainly a season best for him.
Unlike most of the others, he managed to avoid the repeated skill errors, poor decision making and setting teammates up for the dump.

The media is awful.
I saw a recent power rating that had the Giants in the contenders category and Sydney in the unconvincing category. Mind you, two of the Giants wins are against North and West Coast. The other team is Collingwood, who we also defeated.
Recency bias is a thing and it affects posters here, too. It was a frustrating loss but if that’s one of our worst games of the year then we are seriously contenders.
I still see us being 6-1 in a month.

Sensationalist, untrustworthy past used by date journalist. Has only survived this long because of other untrustworthy people in football clubs who continually leak garbage to her.
This is not a shot at a female journalist either as I believe some of the best sports journos in World sport are females.

The laughable thing is Carlton are 7's. I know they are playing busted but if the Pies are not in the top 4 favourite sides it's laughable. They have lost to 2 top 4 sides and the Saints when up and about are dangerous, they still finish top 4.
