Looks like Blakey will have to play tall on the resting Cox/Cameron… or Rampe. I’d prefer Rampe to play on Elliott. Hopefully Fox is down there.

Mcstay and Mccartin would probably a locked match up.

Cunningham to Hill.

Parker named on field, suggests Cleary or Campbell to sub.

Name a player that has played well post bye! They have all been trash!
I thought Papley, Rowbottom and McInerney had all been great since the bye.

I also think McCartin was coming into his best form of the year prior to last week, when weight of numbers, and the lack of help he had due to injuries, won out.

But yeah, think we've been on a gradual downward slope since the round 10 game vs Carlton.

Ladhams played his best game in the seniors last week

McCartin on Cox/Cameron
Rampe on McStay
Hopefully Fox or Mills down there to help Cunningham

He also had about 22 pressure acts.

So many peripheral stats in footy these days.

What on earth constitutes a “pressure act”? Chasing an opponent? Trying to spoil? Attempting a tackle (even if it isn’t effective)?

Does anyone really know?

I assume chalking up a “pressure act” means you haven’t actually won the football.

Anyway, a 7 possession game isn’t good enough, no matter how you try to dress it up with new-age wacky stats.

Jordon was as lousy as the rest of our team & needs to show he’s not just the new Ryan Clarke.

Not sure Jordon can do any more than Horse lets him. Same with Campbell. If we hadn't named all of Mills, Parker, Adams, you could throw him in the middle at centre bounces like we did vs the Pies last time. Maybe he was on someone, but he was at half of the bounces.

I can understand why there are not mass changes. Francis, Ladhams and Corey Warner were some of our best players from the reserves. And they were not able to make a difference against Port. So I think we mostly have to stick with the established players and hope they find form.

I would prefer having Hanily selected as a sub. We don't seem to have a small forward with Wicks dropped. So would have liked to try Hanily there.

Cleary was good in the last reserves game. But I am not sure he is ready to play in the midfield. And I think there are other players who are more effective at half forward.

Hopefully Sheldrick gets considered soon. I am guessing they are being cautious with him.
