Arsenal, bullet dodged.

There’s some urgency at least when we get the ball to Trossard or Sterling wide. A bit laboured otherwise. Jesus takes too many touches and gives the ball away.

Kiwior needed to get a better touch on that ball to prevent the shot. Nice to see Tierney back. A host of subs will be made soon here.

Arsenal need an early second half goal.

And now Henderson picking up where Pickford left off.

Beautiful ball from Tierney. Sterling has to nail that and then fluffs the rebound as well.

I’ve seen this game before….

Much much better. 1-1 Jesus. Must be expecting a baby either celebration?

That’s why I’d like Odegaard and Nwaneri on the pitch together as 8s. Would love to see that ball in from both sides.

On Friday, Arteta - the Premier League's third longest-serving manager and English professional football's fourth - will have been in charge of Arsenal for five years.

Now, all that is missing is making that final step.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes, as "one of the game's deep thinkers and typically obsessed", Arteta has already shown the capability to take the Gunners further.

He said: "No-one doubts that Arsenal are once again a top-four club that still need one or two adjustments to allow them to compete for the title and add to the one FA Cup and two Community Shields they have currently won.

"I am convinced that Arteta has thought about it and has the personality and vision to bring about the necessary changes."

Yes unfortunately for him that was so preventable, he needed a more assured first touch and that would’ve been that.

In Kiwior’s favour I will say that being available in itself is a big factor. So many stop start injuries/absences in those defensive positions.

Tomiyasu without a minute this season, Zinchenko plays two matches, misses four. And so on. Kiwior is a professional and is consistently fit and available, the squad needs constants like that even though that he’s being utilised more than we’d prefer given the other injuries around him.

Whilst I enjoy the team winning, and progressing in cup competitions, the prospect of 2 extra games in January does concern me.
