Conspiracy Theory The Attempted Assassination of Donald Trump

Dumber than Lebbo73 or Dan Moody? Debatable.

You're the one calling for toned down rhetoric mate, those 2 are apparently happier than pigs in shit for that plea to be disregarded, I would have thought your issue would be with them? Pretty simple.

Ahh yes, you're calling for toned down rhetoric and have now just slipped in for the first time that "both sides" need to do this, while still focusing exclusively on examples from teh left, very convincing (skipper kelly guilty of this too). Like its some new phenomenon that just started with Trump :drunk:

Meanwhile back in 2008

"march to socialism"
"end of capitalism as we know it"
"fascism"
"communism"
"the Manchurian candidate couldn't destroy us faster than Obama"
"Stalin without the bloodshed"
not to mention birtherism, terrorist fist bump and secret muslim

Some pretty extreme rhetoric from MSM there, who woulda thunk eh? And I can't remember Obama even calling his political enemies 'vermin' lol

I watched the first minute intro, a lot of edits and cross-talk, couldn't really make out what they were on about apart from this Destiny character refusing to condemn the assassination attempt as an attack on democracy, which I'd agree on the face of it is pretty average although some context would be good. Cenk seems like he's arguing against Piers' saying the shooting was 'odd', possibly Piers was going with some kind of deep state plot angle which absolutely deserves to be pushed back against but again, I don't have the full context so hard to comment.

Are there some specific parts in the hour long video you'd like the draw my attention to? Give me some timestamps and I'll watch them.

So the suggestion was for both sides to tone down the rhetoric since the assassination attempt and you post something from 2008 to try and prove your point. <Insert multiple laughing emojis>

Seriously mate. Never change. Good to know I can keep you on ignore.

Part 738 of me completing dismantling a supposed position of yours. Oh so concerned about extreme rhetoric now that someone has taken a shot at your guy, not a single **** given previously about that same guy's extreme rhetoric resulting in stuff like J6, or your side's extreme rhetoric in general going back decades. Never change indeed :tearsofjoy:

I can see why you'd like to go the ignore route rather than debate and discuss in good faith, being exposed like this time and time again would be pretty embarrassing.

It's a shame that an attempted kidnapping and a hammer attack weren't enough of a trigger to tone the rhetoric down.

No it's embarrassing for you.

Why can't you acknowledge that the rhetoric needs to be lowered? You sound like the red bull guzzling idiot in the clip you refused to watch.

I think both sides have been guilty of stoking the fire of hatred in the US and I think it's reached a point where both sides acknowledge it needs to be wound back.

It remains to be seen if either do but if that Destiny moron is anything to go by nothing is going to change.

Now see if you can stay in the present.

On this we agree.

I've actually been impressed by Trump not going full divisive mode, more so seeing as he was the one being shot at.

Better :thumbsu:

Its the idea that Democrats need to lead this that's ridiculous (again, you've only injected the "both sides need to" now, once called on it). I'm fully on board with it, lowering the rhetoric is a great idea, its been a great idea ever since Fox and Trump conscientiously raised it to fever pitch.

How many times do you think Trump has called his political opponents fascist/marxist/scum on Truth Social this year? Are you even aware of that? Do you accept that he called his political opponents vermin, and used language literally lifted from Hitler speeches? Are the Democrats and media just supposed to ignore that, not note it, in an election year?

You sound like the red bull guzzling idiot in the clip you refused to watch.
I refused to watch an hour long video, oh how unreasonable of me.

Any time you're ready mate. If Piers' line is anything like yours, the red bull guzzling idiot's apparent response is becoming more reasonable by the minute - like I said, context.

Both sides as of now, sure, but not equally and pretty clear who went there first.

I'm not sure ascribing the position of a red bull guzzling idiot to an entire party or spectrum of politics is all that helpful, to put it mildly.

Now see if you can stay in the present.
Happy to be here mate, lets see if we both can. I'd appreciate a response to the questions I've asked above.

lol, rightio then. Probably best not to mock posts about the event from others in that case.
I haven't heard the claims of deliberate misinformation that would have occured if it was biden shot instead of trump. Although snopes did fact check the whole 'hit by flying glass' thing.

No source, just seemed like a logical assumption. The lack of a mask should have tipped me off, big miss from me.
Always good to wait for some of the facts at least.

Max Smith, who took an American history course with Crooks, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that his former classmate "definitely was conservative".

Mr Smith recalled a mock debate in which they both took part, saying: "The majority of the class were on the liberal side, but Tom, no matter what, always stood his ground on the conservative side."

"It makes me wonder why he would carry out an assassination attempt on the conservative candidate," he said.
Sounds like a lone gun-nut given his T shirt, rifle club membership, etc. I'm just glad he didn't shoot up his school as it seems he fits the normal profile (loner, bullied, etc)

Doesn't sound like a gun nut at all.

Was old enough to own his own gun, didn't own one.

If he was a a real gun nut as soon as he turned 18 he'd have started buying his own.

He had a membership at a local shooting club, the Clairton Sportsmen's Club, for at least a year, the club confirmed to the BBC.

Law enforcement officials believe the weapon used to shoot at Donald Trump, an AR-style rifle, was purchased by Crooks' father, according to investigators.

According to US media reports, Crooks was wearing a T-shirt from Demolition Ranch, a YouTube channel known for its guns and demolition content.

Speaking to local news outlet KDKA, some young locals who went to school with him described him as a loner, who was frequently bullied and sometimes wore "hunting outfits to school".

Jameson Myers, a former member of the Bethel Park High School varsity rifle team who graduated alongside Crooks in 2022, told CBS that Crooks did not make the team.

"He did not even make the junior varsity team after trying out," Mr Myers added. "He never returned to try-outs for the remainder of high school."

Another former classmate told ABC News he "shot terrible" and "wasn't really fit for the rifle team".

Yes, nothing about that says "gun nut" to me.

I know a few gun nuts, he doesn't sound anything like them.

As more and more evidence comes out the more suspicious this looks.

  • FBI allegedly can't get into the Shooters phone, they're able to get into any phone and have done before
  • 20 year old kid with no bomb expertise somehow rigs explosives in his car with a remote detonator
  • Absence of USSS security on that rooftop the 'sloped roof' excuse given by the USSS Secretary makes no sense
  • people alerting police of the assassin well ahead of the incident, with the only eventual response a police officer climbing up there, no one alerted the USSS snipers who had a clear look at the target?
  • seemingly no motive known

Just want to be on record that this all looks suspicious

I thought it was reported that they had gone through his phone and computer etc and nothing stood out as being problematic.
