Yeah, I remember him and David Hart being interviewed during the '94 post-match celebrations about the fact they'd both missed the first flag.

Hart was actually all set to play in 1992 but during our week off between the 2nd Semi and the GF he play for Souths in the WAFL finals and 'pulled a groin' IIRC.
Was shit luck.
Wonder who he would have replaced?..
Cannot see that sort of thing happening in AFL today.

Can't believe there has been only a couple of mentions of Andrew Macnish.
Was a superstar at Subiaco in the mid 80's. Played really well in the 1986 State of Origin game where Peakey kicked 7 IIRC. Had problems with his feet though or something? High arches or something strange that curtailed his VFL/AFL career. In the mould of a Brett Heady/Andrew Donnelly half forward type.
