Parade might sneak out of relegation, but won't be far off. They will be in D2 by 2009.

Well with all due respect, 2nd Division EFL is a much better standard than where they and/or BT are at. Mitcham will be very competetive this year after the drop from 1st Division - likley to bounce straight back up.

O Mentone; A very even side that have no super starS but carry no one' finish second.

Oakleigh; Have all bases covered will finish top with there potent forward line.

Prahran; have the best on ball squad hard to stop when up & running
finish 3rd

Hampton; Can play great football if allowed to, will strugle if in a tight game. finish 5th

Bulleen Temp; Depth may be there down fall, but if can keep there top players on the field can take Hampton's position finish 4th

Geelong; not the side from previous years have struggled against the most top sides. finish 6th

Penninsula; Have had some good wins but may lack some class. finish 7th

O Parade; Have beaten the sides around them will stay up if they can winn a couple more. Finish 8th

Yarra V; Have some great players that drift in & out of the game if they can get a full game out of them they may take Parade's position.Finish 9th

Therry; will struggle to win a game (but hope they do at some stage this season) finish 10th.

The Rovers are the side all teams in D1 don't want to face and they are just starting to hit their straps.... I'm sure the top 3 are all looking over their shoulders hoping the Rovers don't get the double chance or it's nighty night and a bounce straight back to C for the Rovs.

If there was a combined D1 section team to play against other sections (ie A Section, B Section C Section etc) in a 'section-of-origin' game, which would also double as a selection trial of the Victorian team in rep games, who would make the side,what will the starting line-up look like, and who would coach it?

Quiet Man obviously wasn't at Oakleigh on Saturday. Or the dimwit musn't consider 3 points a tight game. However it was a struggle after giving a 5 goal head start to them....

Therry, Mentone, Bulleen, Geelong & Oakleigh at home in the back half you would think is a favourable draw. Will be a pleasure to take the field in September with The Quiet Fool watching.

I think the coach should be Prahran's i was pretty impressed with their style of play, but no matter where they are on the ladder I couldn't have Mentone's coach. He would have to be one of the biggest clowns ever to get a senior job. I think the VAFA should sen him an official warning for abusing oposition players.

I can only say that Alexander, Carr, L Fletcher, Woods, Lawrence, Duddy, Devereaux and Zampaglioni would have to be in the mix as far as players from Hampton are concerned. D Mathews from Bulleen Thump usually makes them but he would probably want to rest that old old old body of his.

couldn't agree more.. has a shot at every player that runs past the mentone bench.. nothing short of a disgrace...

as for a rep team.. players from BT would be mathews, tehan, peitryk, o'donnell, clarke and maybe slot one of the younger kids in e.g. waters, cherbakhof or voglis

or maybe even chivers

Apparently you have a couple of mates that have a connection at Mitcham??

Anyway, yeah its hard to believe they will most likley slip down to Divvy 3 from Div1 in the space of 2 seasons. Mind you, I am not the only one on this planet who tipped them to bounce back to Div 1...just didn't see Knox spending up so big or the Tigers being so pathetic.

Is great to bring passion and enthusiasim to your club Tommy, but when you are senior coach you need to set the right example to your players and supporters instead of acting like a ******ed Collinwood supporter.

The guy sledges before a ball has been bounced and shows a complete lack of sportsmanship after the game has finished. I'm glad our committee over looked him when he applied for our job.
