What's changed Max "i will miss you this week ' LeaderLooking like we may need to put the balls away for 2021.
Max “not confident” Leader
I think we'll get finals and maybe round 18 in. Numbers aren't high but maybe one extra week of lockdown. Even if it runs a couple more weeks there will be finals and 3 more weeks could see a two week final series so plenty of opportunity stillWhat's changed Max "i will miss you this week ' Leader

Does anyone have the article - AFL and VFL talent scouts take note. There’s some serious young talent tearing up local leagues in Melbourne. Local Footy writers have named 100 to watch.
The accurate ones would be people like Paul Amycan gaurantee there's another 25 at least in the VAFA that are better than some names on that list. Reading it I thought it was written by a work experience kid chucking his mates on the list for a laugh. Odd list - obviously some accurate ones in there though.
The rumour mill is in overdrive this afternoon over a Premier division club having a training run this morning, with coach in attendance! It seems some people have a win at any cost attitude, whilst the rest of the state is doing the right thing. Scoundrels! The accurate ones would be people like Paul Amy

VAFA revamp
The VAFA is considering a two-week finals series for its male competition should Covid lockdowns ease.
Under that system, the first week would see 1 v 4 and 2 v 3, with the respective winners to advance to a grand final, with potentially only one team promoted and one relegated per division.

Did you not read the post aboveBe good news for your beloved Carey boys if this is the case. Drop to C Grade and its a long way back. And it’s seems you are a pretty young team who should improve.

What i mean is the VAFA have put out what i posted earlier and good on them this is pro active , not like other leaguesI was talking to Carlton about his post. He posted about a one up and one down policy. So I was responding to this and him saying that it would be good for him and Carey. Not sure what you mean?
IMO there will be no relegation.
They won't decide anything to at least Wednesday , Mondays meeting will be just a normal meeting , just by zoomYes Hippster, my money is on no promotion/relegation too. I believe there is VAFA meeting Monday so position could become clearer.

Hello Mr Hippster, how about this for a wild idea considering we are living in wild times.Nice work VAFA. But Dan the man is equally as committed to running this down to the ground. Culminating in back to back zero days so we don’t become like Sydney.
There will be no more VAFA this year. Numbers are too high, mystery cases too high, people in the community during their infectious period far too high.
With a heavy heart I call it now.
No more games will be played.
Bring on 2022
Mr Anderson, as per usual, makes great sense here. One up one down in these turbulent times now makes sense, more than it did three weeks ago. We are absolute monies to go straight to finals in three weeks time IMO.From Jon Anderson !
What a splendid idea Mr Old MateHello Mr Hippster, how about this for a wild idea considering we are living in wild times.
If we are indeed finished for this year, why not run the finals for this year in March next year? These would replace the practice match circuit for the clubs involved, then we move onto 2022. For all were know there will be another bad variant, perhaps we need to adapt to the times? We could easily also extend the season if we utilise the byes like we should have this year.
This means the season isn't in vain and may set a precedent where we don't keep abandoning future years.
Agreed. If there is a finals series there will 100% be promotion/relegation. The question is whether it will be one or two teams that go up and down.I think they have to do promotion and relegation. As I've said multiple times there are teams in every division that are simply not good enough for the grade as shown by their win/loss ratio
We are absolute monies to go straight to finals in three weeks time IMO.
