Judging by the bitching going on here I agree with the radio from earlier, they said it is a good game building here and South Africa are set to make 250+ yet people find it boring, we have been spoilt by 20/20 cricket and people no longer appreciate good games, all they want is 6 after 6

Agree. Boring???? This is a great game happening.

Agree with that. Another reason why there shouldn't be too much 20/20 cricket. Sounds like a good game, pity it isn't being shown here.

Agree totally.

great win by RSA. thought they were going to lose by quite a bit when they were batting in the middle stages and to their credit bowled really well as they have been doing all series. lol at pollock

not here, i prefer the 5 day version over odi's. there are just too many meaningless games of the 50 over stuff, played only to generate revenue.

this is shown by the aussies resting punter for aus. day. CA got their sell-out, so it doesn't matter who plays on the day.

i would say in the past 6 seasons, only 3 or 4 of the odi's have been worthy of remembering. and yes, i have seen every ball from every game in australia since the 97/98 season so if you feel like questioning my credibility as a cricket viewer go ahead,

I was referring more to the comparison of the 50 over games to the 20/20 version. I prefer Test Cricket myself too, I have been watching it since 1970/71.

And I don't feel like questioning your credibility, there is no reason to. ;)

Smith is like a big kid ..he's too young to be leading a cricket side

Thought he kept his cool in the field pretty well when things were tight and it looked liked they were about to lose so you can't really blame him for looking so happy with a ball to go. In fact the Saffies were disciplined and seemed to know what they were required to do. They are a bit out of form atm but did it on guts. Sri Lanka looked to have it sewn up but Van der Wath and Hall did well to peg them back and the South African fielding stood up by their standards.

Very disappointing to drop that one. If it was won, there would've been a nice cushion going into Australia Day.

Jaya was just cutting loose with 2 monster sixes when he was brilliantly stumped down legside by Boucher, was quite unreal. Sanga following immediately after and Lanka looked in real shyt.

Dilshan/Jayawardene did awesomely well to keep them in it, and in the end get them into a winning position. Van Der Wath bowled well and was the difference along with Hall for mine.

I think the Aussies will bounce back on Aus Day, and the Lankans will rue that they dropped a relatively winable game.

Not looking forward to games in Perth.

The Saffies got lucky, great bowling by VD Wath and Hall, Pollock also did well. Great last spell by Hall to clinch the game. Their batting is still not how it should be!! Seems stupid to try and rely on one or two guys to play a gem down the order everytime!!!
