If we were a game of Scrabble, at this point you'd throw all of your tiles away and start again. We're a team of vowels. Can't score, can't do anything creative. Hoping our opponents make a mistake and we think a 'double letter score' is going to get us out of trouble. We gave up everything for a Q but don't have a U.

How f**king cringe is it to see a bunch of grown men come out looking like a primary school bully gang in some act of faux bravado. And then the whole team proceed to refusing to put their head over the ball and pick the thing up when it’s time to actually be tough?
Where is the hunger?
How much bath water was drank actually last offseason?
Why can’t these guys take possession of a football below their knees or tackle an opposition player effectively?
How have we ended up with a captain who is fast become our least dependable player?
Why does the coach look so bewildered and panicked during the games?
Why is Peter Bell so involved in every minute decision at the club?
So many questions. Where are the answers?
F************k!!!!!

It was always going to be a tough period but we will be lucky to find a second win. This would mean hitting the bye entrenched in the bottom 4.

I have no confidence other than they are young and won't like playing here. It is 50/50 in my mind so I swing towards home team. Talk about damning.

Hawthorn have played some decent footy. Just not in a sustained fashion.
we on the other hand have struggled to accumulate one game total across 6 weeks of decent footy…we ****ing suck

Everyone of those losses will be 10+ goals.

True percentage and confidence busters. We might be able to hold Sydney to 7 goals due to our style and the smaller ground. I am thinking my garden will be looking stunning in Spring. And I hope to be 10-15% fitter end of the season as well.

I will watch Kayo minis I think.

They almost got us here last season from memory. Although they're probably the only team who have regressed as much as us this season.

What a ****ing shit show that game will be.

I hate how incompetent we are, especially when it comes to list management and how it sets us up for years of failure.

So many players brought in when we should have been rebuilding. Instead, now we find our selves in a worse position, and now our time out of the finals goes for longer.

100% this. Don’t go act acting like a tough guy if you can’t back it up.

I tell you what Mr Pearce, here’s something for you, if you want to carry the can for the team, how about you hold your feet, learn to kick and maybe not give away multiple goals every game. Maybe that might show an example to your teammates who may walk taller. That’s real leading from the front, not some stupid push and shove against an old team mate.

The decision to let acres and Logue go added to bringing in JOM and then placing him in the leadership group... Oh boy!

The 2025 strategic objectives are embarrassing and the subsequent pressures they fed into, can be directly and indirectly blamed for the shocking decision making that's having a detrimental impact.

We can make a case about who needs to go, (Bell, Longmuir and Cooper) but really, Simon Garlick needs to be accountable for all of this.

Bell is responsible for the list management, but trading multiple futures for Jackson shouldn't have happened if anyone was genuinely trying to make our list sustainable, especially after we gave away our proven depth in exchange for mature & unwanted players. So what's the list management strategy at the end of this season going to be? More futures out for 'win now' players?

Longmuir and Webb now have to finish top four three times before 2025, Longmuir only has two lives left, Webb has three chances but she hasn't coached at this level before. This will impact team selection and already has for Longmuir, who has no incentive for playing younger players for development and play to win with whatever Bell has left him. Cooper has already lost his job, after one bad season that was crippled with injuries.

There's only one person that should have an observed expiry date, and it's Simon Garlick and he can take his great mate Bob Murphy with him.
