I live in walking distance of Adelaide Oval. Love it and the Parklands. But they're not the parklands where Aussie rules was invented. And SA gave up SANFL grand finals to move to Football Park. So it doesn't have the history or tradition or size or nostalgia. It's just not the Coliseum of footy like the G is.

'So it doesn't have the history or tradition or size or nostalgia.'

Ok then..

No my comment was based around his influence to make the SANFL leave Adelaide Oval as per your previous comment.

Just read about it. The Don was an amazing cricketer, but a pretty shit unbending tightarse adminstrator. This shit on top of the tightarseness that brought about WSC.

Ian Chappell - stood up to Don and goood that he did.

Don = Awesome player...his achievements and stats speak for themselves. As an Administrator in cricket...not so good.....didn't like spending a penny.

Ian Chappell is a bit of a prick too. Also was happiest when his head was deep inside Shane Warne's rectum.

For anyone who has been to the Adelaide Oval and entered through the Riverbank Stand, the left side of the entry there are some displays in a room everyone can see as they walk past. Behind that room is the Bradman Museum, so if you have been to that you will know the space i'm talking about.

The room with the displays was meant to dedicated to being an entry to the Bradman Museum behind it, the SANFL and one person in particular put a stop to that happen, hence why it's somewhat hidden.

Small town politics that goes back to the 70's and Bradman.

But will the AFL ever admit to that? Absolutely no chance. It’s the dirty little secret they’ll take to the grave.

Hardly a secret, only a dullard wouldn't admit that this competition is an expanded vfl and likely always will be, given that vic has the largest market, always has been and always will be.

So you are saying there is no chance what so ever that one day Western Australia will have a bigger population than Victoria?
