That's probably cos you never were clearly in front in any of your grand finals.
If doesn't make sense to me that whether a team has home ground advantage or not is occasionally influenced by how big the opposition fan base is.

The AFL call it home state advantage. There are no finals in Geelong even if it's a low drawing non-Vic club.
We played Ethan Hughes for parts of our season on the wing.

I theoretically could happen if the MCG is in use on the Thurs/Fri/Sat of qualifying/elimination final week. Wont happen any other time,
The NGA system shows vic bias more than anything
Vic sides got indigenous players from Vic , NT, Tasmania.
12 months later sa and wa teams got indigenous players from one small corner of there state.
Then 3 years later they get the entire state but only after pick 40.
This is 100% vic bias. The reason was vic clubs were worried sa and waclubs may get an advantage which may neutralise some of the advantages they already get and the VFL said yes.

Played 67 games for geelong - earnt father son.
Needed 150 games in the wafl.
THESE THINGS ARE NOT THE SAME.
It's their competition, they can do what they want.
You should be thankful it's only 150 WAFL, which is equivalent to 3 reserves appearances in the VFL.

People are just getting more and more sick of Victorian dominance and the AFL and AFL medias complete indifference to it, especially compared to their reaction of a much smaller period of dominance from non-Victorian teams 18 or 19 years ago.
The AFL media would be losing their shit, as would the AFL if non-Victorian teams had won 15 of the last 17 Grand Finals.

Geelong aint in Melbourne, and Geelong dont get to play finals in Geelong.

The higher minimum game requirements cancel out the fact that SANFL and WAFL clubs get the entire league to pick from.
Would you rather it be 100 games but you could only pick kids from West Perth players?
We played at Homebush where two thirds of the team hadn’t played (not an SCG final for finishing first). This was part of a deal the AFL had signed up to. Another masterclass in the AFL negotiations.
How about a ****en system, where the top 7 sides favoured by the rule are not all victorian

West perth players should be loaded onto dump trucks and dumped at the tip.
We got 4 clubs.
But again the best althletically gifted players most likely to have the best chance of passing on good genetics never played 150 games in the wafl.
