Make sure you don't miss out on doing the Foundry flash point when it comes up, otherwise most of the group quests are redundant imo.

What planet is that?

I forgot you are playing republic aren't you. It's a level 33-37 instance for empire which is pretty cool. The republic equivalent is Maelstrom Prison which is OK but it isn't linked back to KOTOR like the Foundry.

I really tried with SWTOR. I got a Sith Jugger to 34 but then realised I had to stick with my stupid healer and not my awesome lightsaber apprentice I worked so hard to get. Living was a difficult thing when trying to quest at that stage.

I did come back and try it free to play a few months back...Got back into it a little bit but still eventually got tired of it and went back to...Well, LoL and just random games I found.

Right now Im playing through Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2 and then Inquisition.

Since I got back from Europe I have been investing way too much time in Inquisition. Very addictive. I don't think I've been so immersed in a video game since Origins or Red Dead Redemption.

It does lay bare all the things that were wrong with DA2 though.

DA2 feels very...experimental...Sort of like they wanted to do an Action RPG but with Tactical in it as well...

I've always been a bit of a defender of it actually, but having got my hands on DA Inquisition the freedom and the scope of it make DA2 look pathetic.

I reckon you're right about the experimenting though. Inquisition is probably a better game because of what was learnt from DA2. Some things worked and some didn't.

My only problem with Inquisition is that it's lacking the sense of humour of Origins. Plus I'm halfway through and I have the nasty suspicion Boddan Feddic and Sandal aren't going to show up at all.

Agreed, though you can get some amusing banter between your companions if you bring the right combo of people along. I've also had some issues where there was no talking at all for periods, which I think has been addressed in this week's patch.

Fantastic game though. And bloody addictive! :)

Quite possibly the best part of Origins for me. The banter between Morrigan and Alistair, as well as some of the other characters is brilliant.

The fact that Claudia Black is her voice actor makes it so much better.

Hearthstone now available on android tablets in Australian play store. That will make it way too easy to not work when I should be.

Kerbal Space Program has hit beta now. Good time to give it a try if you haven't already.

Pretty steep learning curve but shit it is rewarding. I got a Kerbal trapped without fuel in a seriously skewiff planetary orbit after a failed trip to the moon. Planned and executed a rescue mission all by myself after days of research. Had to build my own rescue craft, launch, rendezvous with the ship in that crazy elliptical orbit and then do a risky EVA transfer 250 kilometres from the ground before reentering the atmosphere.

Getting him back to earth (or should I say Kerbin) safely was amazing. It felt like the end of Apollo 13 times ten.

I'm taking my time learning all about it (thanks to Scott Manley's brilliant YouTube tutorials) because there is so much to take in. Despite the cute "Kerbal" setting it takes the space travel physics really seriously. Can happily say I am still yet to have a Kerbal fatality. ;)

Just started playing Shadow of Mordor on PC. Totally hooked. Hype was right, game is just fun.

Amazing isn't it. Man you have to have your wits about you or it will chew you up.

Can't button mash your way through it.

So satisfying when you finally take out an orc captain who has killed you a few times.

I'm looking at you Latbag the Savage.

Want to get it, but all signs point to it not being able to run on my laptop :( Only a modest video card, but makes up for it in RAM (8 Gig).

Still expecting GTA V to run on it though.

In the meantime, I'm mastering a few toons on SWTOR. Started a Sith Warrior for my pure evil fixation and to try have a go at being a tank.

Really creating some nice quality stuff with my artiface as well :)

Steam Sales huh? Doing my spare cash in, it is.

Oh and Shadow of Mordor is wonderful. Much sagacious agreement.

I should dutifully mention my Steam Sale highlights, I.e. Games or DLC purchased and played thus far.

The Long Dark
Survival game with crafting elements is a hostile winter environment. The combat mechanic is horrible but the survival and crafting game is quite tense and you can play the game with placid animals. It is early access but feels complete in sandbox mode. Highly recommended.

Ziggurat
Procedurally generated fantasy FPS. A lot of fun and pretty new. Also in early access but feels fairly complete. Punishingly hard, but while I usually hate this it was fine. Pretty without setting your gaming loins on fire.

Endless Legend
From the same studio that did Endless Space , the is a gorgeous fantasy turn based strategy that a outclasses all other in its genre (being specific about the fantasy here). Visually stunning with an interesting and complex economy and influence system I have barely scratched the surface but will be coming back for more.

Grim Dawn
More Diablo 2 than Diablo 3 is fair to say about this one. Another early access game but the bits I have been playing with feel complete. By the same team that did Titan Quest whenever I fire this up i find myself saying "I really like this game" about 15 minutes into the session.

Other stuff I've picked uP but haven't played include
  • This War of Mine - war from a civilian perspective
  • Game of Thrones - Telltale Games series
  • And too many others

Finally got revenge on a captain who had killed me like 8 times. Finished him with an execution and took his head off. So very satisfying. Never had a game make me want to hunt down and kill a randomly generated enemy before. No story line or quest, simply the need for revenge. This guy just kept popping up when i was fighting other captains, think this might be from the ambush strength?

Dont get long playing sessions due to having a little one around, but i spent (wasted) 1.5 hours yesterday trying to hunt him down instead of doing story missions and progessing the game. I was just fodder for him and pumped him up to about 16 power rating.

Finally progressed to the 2nd area and have the brand skill. Glorious fun. Already gang smashed a war chief by branding his bodyguards and having them turn on him.

Love having the skill for 2 finisher moves per charge now too. Just when i thought i had done most of it the game gives me a heap of new toys. Still challenging though, get swarmed and killed if i try be too cute.

Really enjoying Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on the Wii-U. I know a lot of you dorks are into the big boy stuff, but the cartoony ones generally do it for me.

Super relaxing and lots of fun. Cheap game too if you have the console.

Oh man, this game. :hearts:

Can't believe the Assassin's Creed developers accused Shadow of Mordor of being a clone of their game.

If that was the case, they wouldn't have made it fun.

I note in the trailers for the game the horse movement looks about as floaty and unrealistic as AC II.
