This feels like the GWS game last year - the game we scrap out and get the win despite playing awful, awful footy. Our form turned around just after that. I'm hoping I'm right. At times today I felt as though we were so close to clicking - I'm confident we'll start to turn it around now.

I also take my hat off to Tom Williams. This win is yours, man. Enjoy it. So much courage. I don't know how bad that injury was, but with your history, nobody would've been surprised if you pulled the pin - on both the game, and on your career. Instead you kicked us three goals and really helped us to that win.

Cooney is finished; decent 4th quarter, god awful for the first 3. We should try & engineer a trade at the end of the season.

Liked Fletcher Roberts. Did a good stopping job tonight, but probably needs to add a bit more to his game. A bit like a Prestigiacomo atm.

Can't be too critical of the performance, wet weather tends to bring the worst out of players.

Williams worked really hard to get into the game after going off injured. Hats off to him.

Crammers kicked four despite Dunn fondling him all night.

Tutt worked really hard and I liked JJs game.

Griff was enormous 15 tackles and lifted us.

Hunter needs some serious VFL time, with Smith and Honeychurch pushing he needs to go back and earn.

Sick of the injuries but big respect for Williams for getting back out there to help with rotations and was even able to contribute.

Going from winning ruck contest every week to losing is having a big impact on this side, with Jones gone for a couple Cordy should get a chance and will also help with this

At least my pieman will start looking better as there are a few that simply cannot keep getting a game ahead of Smith, Bonti and Honeychurch

Look, Tom did what had to be done and kudos for having the kahunas to play on, but he ain't our answer to our forward line woes.. But maybe, he might be better at FF. Grant as a forward pocket/ flanker.. We might be ok

Our club leaders. (Admin and football) need to speak to the umpiring dept and ask why we are being penalised so severely in games. If they don't, we will be crucified all season. There were two teams out there but only one got a fair go...

We stole one there. Great win in the end. Just being able to stay in the game ended up paying dividends.

Said before the game that if there midfield broke even with ours that we'd struggle to win but they did (perhaps even won the battle) and we were still able to get the victory.

Libba was amazing! Lock it in 3 votes, our best by far. Tommy Williams was great as well. Thought he was gone at half time but fought on bravely and kicked a couple of vital goals.

Umpiring was frustrating. Fortunately we got some lucky ones in the last that we made count but otherwise we were absolutely killed.

All in all, we really struggled to counter the Melbourne tactics. We only had 27 inside 50's at 3QT but fortunately we kept right in it. Ugly win but a good win.

I'd hate to be Matt Jones right now, he must be feeling guttered. He had two shots at an open goal in the last few minutes and blew them both.
