SCG is a shit oval. But the stadium has a bit of an old but much smaller mcg feel about it. walking past the old stands makes you feel like you have gone back in time.

Either Perth or Adelaide is a good option. Either Brisbane again or Sydney would be terrible.
The Brisbane grand final was pretty good last year and it wasn’t even allowed full capacity. The atmosphere was awesome.
The SCG sucks on tv from main camera angle on the wing as the cameras are like 5m above ground level on the members stand unlike at all other ovals where they are are 15-20m above ground level. Interestingly, the behind the goals cameras at SCG are the best as those ones are up high. They just need to put cameras up higher.

Queensland and NSW don't count.
The Lions could have played all 17 games plus finals in Qld last year and won the flag and the AFL wouldn't have entertained the suggestion they benefited.
Mcgowan just said if we were to pay something for it — it would be in the range of improved facilities like victoria did

Correct me if I’m wrong, but, WCE got rolled on their home deck in a final by a vic team after a dream draw, Port the same and the GF was played in QLD by 2 vic teams. Most neutral won flag ever.
Adelaide deserves to be in the mix as much as perth
although this year with both perth teams being no real chance its likely to be a more neutral venue (slightly) because of port.

Yeah you missed the point, but that's OK.
It's entirely possible that if the GF was in Perth this year and WC made it (looks unlikely that Freo will make finals from here) that WC would lose. It's not an argument that playing the game in Perth doesn't benefit WC, though. Otherwise why not play it here every year? Find me one person who thinks that doesn't benefit Freo/WC...
I wouldn't call playing a 1-5-6-5 split of home vs 'away' games as a dream draw compared to a regular WC season. We weren't particularly good for most of the season anyway. Only played 2-3 games that looked like a contender.
