I know who will sort it out of him, if it is there. Worsfold. Malthouse wouldn't tolerate lazy players and I'm betting Worsfold is exactly the same. Remember, he's only started playing footy in the last month, so he's had no pre-season either.

Very true mate and thats why I love Woosha :D.

He gets the fastest time in the draft camp, but it doesn't look like he uses his speed often.

Only had 4 weeks of footy, so I doubt he's near top speed yet anyway. Also, look at it like Naita, it may be a deliberate instruction from the coaches to slow down a bit and make better decisions, because when they're going at top speed they tend to make poorer decisions.

Me too :thumbsu:. BTW what happened to our toffees? Could have done with Woosha there, to take out Drogba and Anelka! :D

Smith's work ethic, intensity and body language is poor (it was evident when watching him last year ... not just from this year) ... it's going to be a big obstacle to overcome ... there aren't many reasons that would explain the guy with clearly the biggest offensive hurt factor in last year's draft going in the 3rd round (high risk - high reward).

From Swans yesterday:

Naitanui - everyone has heard what he did, but I'll describe the third quarter goal he kicked. You could see what was going to unfold but didn't believe it could. He turns his marker inside out on the boundary line about 40m out from goal, tapped the ball between his legs and immediately burnt off that opponent. He's galloping along with the ball held out in his left hand, feigning the handball to Jetta? I think running on his inside. Got around the next defender, along the boundary line still going to goal. 1 Souths defender stayed on the goal line, ala a goalkeeper, with Naita just coming straight at him from the boundary, then he does a dinky little left foot grubber alongside the defender as he's jumping to try and stop the ball. Brilliant!

Any idea where i could find a video of this?

All WAFL games are filmed (inc. colts and ressies) ... problem is the production company charges stupid prices (about $50 per game) . Not sure why the WAFL website stopped showing the video highlights of all the matches ... I thought they were a really good feature last year.

We could have had Jetta last year and we could have had Palmer 3 years ago when he was overlooked in the 2006 draft i believe?

I still cant believe we drafted James Thompson in the 06 draft...what a wasted pick.
Thomson was drafted at about 79. There simply wasn't anybody else around by that time and he was taken as a project player. Someone had to go and he was the worst of a long list of tall defenders in the club.

the last lot of stats have come in:

A.Cockie: 23 touches, 6 tackles, 5 inside 50's

C. Fletcher: 31 touches, 7 marks, 5 tackles.

Bones: 31 touches and 4 marks.

Wilkes: 20 touches, 3marks 3 goals 3.

Mcginnity: 16 touches, 4tackles

(reserves)Bedford: 18 touches, 3 tackles.

stevenson: 26 touches

Without knowing his situation, Ash Smith seemingly needs to get his shit together. What's up with him?

Came on 45 minutes into the match. How can he be left on the bench that long ? Explanations please !!!! Hard to get possessions when your not on the ground. West Coast staff unimpressed with it and changes will happen. Does Jars have something against all the AFL listed players, most started on the bench.

Yeh but I though that was more to break the tag than anything. Still Butler looked a tad um lost down there for the short time he was there. If Ashley Smith was who I think he was (number 30 something), he was barely on the ground for 20 mins in the 2nd half

Good return from Wilkes, Ill admit I only watched the first quarter and a bit and in the first quarter he turned it over in defence a few times. But when they moved him forward he kicked 2 (mabye 3) in the first quarter and was damaging. Pity I didnt see the rest of the game because apparently his disposal tightened up towards the end of the game. His only chance really to break into the team though is through defence IMO unless he really starts to excell around the forward line as a HF who can block for others and create space.

Perhaps Jars doesn't feel he deserves a spot in the league team but he is obligated to select him?
