Looks like the Subiaco players are trusting him more and using him as an avenue to goal.

This is always a concern with players dropping back, particularly in Jack's case being from Vic.
Who would you kick it too, the bloke you've played with for years, train with and probably socialise on some level with? Or the AFL player on good $$ that you see once maybe twice a week.
Anthony isn't known as the most orthodox of cats either..

what about the two great crumbing goals he kicked , suggested he is better at ground level than what we give him credit for. at the risk of sounding like im on a witch hunt, he would be better at afl level than MJ IMHO.

I agree he is knocking at the door. I am not an mj fan this year. I think his efforts are ordinary. But we do need a third tall defender. Who will replace him? Maybe McPhee but that is debatable. Bringing Anthony into the team does not fix the mj problem automatically. The man we are missing is snos.

Anthony was very good I felt, I certainly wouldnt mind a quick kick into the 50 where Anthony splits a pack like he did a couple of times today before ballas or chopper pick up the crumbs and kick a goal

Would Anthony be able to do what Mcphee is currently doing?
IMO Yes
Also wouldnt drop as many sitters.

Mcphee could then go into midfield at times allowing Pav forward at times.
Mcphee could also be used down back MJ type role.
Yes i know he was tried there last year an stunk it up.
But that was before he found abit of form.
Would he offer as much down there as MJ currently is.
IMO YES if not more coz he will actually throw his body into the contest to spoil.

Stoked for west perth! sad to hear about Mellingtons performance though. Did anyone see that south players leg injury? far out it was gross!

It was Jamie Graham I'm pretty sure. That was awful. Worse than anything I've seen happen on the footy field except maybe the Hird injury. Hope he gets right again.

I reckon next week we get McPhee to tag Dustin Martin and bring JA in to replace him in the forward line. He knows the MCG well and has a great goal accuracy record there.

Watching tonight's Lions v Tigers game, next week should be pretty free flowing and fast pace meaning JA should be able to find space and take a few grabs; and hopefully converting them.

Yeah was horrible probably the worst iv'e seen aswell. Hope he is okay. The human body is just not ment to do that!

Agree, that looked very bad. He seems like a decent bloke as well. He retired from an AFL career (well the Eagles anyway) to look after his family after his mother died. All the best to him and hope he has no long term impact from it.

I was just thinking something similar today, drop Crowley, bring in Anthony and push Mcphee back into the midfield as a tagger.

Went to the Wests Claremont game today - pretty wrapped to get the win.

Gees I would love all of our boys to be at West Perth, their field kicking was precise and really they controlled the game for 75% (and in that 25% Claremont really can kick a big score in a hurry).

Mello looked out of sorts and to be honest if I did not know who he was an AFL player, I never would of guessed on that performance.

Schammer was OK, kicked a nice goal from outside 50 but none of the AFL listed players did much and for a 2nd week in a row - the WAFL star players were the standouts.

Also I've said it once, twice and this year I will say it again - how Richardson is not at least rookie listed is beyond me. Was good today without being great, WP defence was our strong point - yet he is just balanced and very constructive.

Also I went out at 3/4 time to listen to McPhee and I stood next to Lewis Broome - he seriously looks like a Under 14, he is so small it is unbelievable.

Agree with this. Remember McPhee verse Richmond last year? Had so many brilliant marks in defence.

we are gettin abit off topic here but if richmond are fast surely we dont want Pav,Mcphee,Mundy in midfield.

We lack defensive pressure already through midfield due to size an speed.

A guy who follows football enough to post on a forum, suggesting Schammer should replace Mundy... not sure if i should post a "Nt sr if srs" in the "Nt sr if srs"

Anthony was good today i thought.. the way he crashed a few packs was probably the highlight for me, never really saw that at Collingwood, would be good if he can add that at the highest level, and as previously stated play the Mcphee type role up forward, releasing him to play plug-in roles week to week and f*** MJ off

As for Schammer, hes a handy depth player for Claremont....

Anyways is good to see that My boys won, however its was only Peel.

Clancee played alright again and good to See Ex Freo Ben Colreavy played well too

Clingwrap or cotton wool? Or should that be rapt?

Still think his defensive game lets him down - Simon McPhee is probably still looking back at his GF performance from last year and shuddering.
