Current WAR CRIMES Israel Hamas Conflict Pt 2 - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

Here is PART 1

The ICC has also issued warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

Quite the desperation from Hamas supporters to claim Israel are behind Hamas.

In reality Hamas seized power in 2007, killed off Palestinian opposition and proceeded to militarise Gaza with the main focus being annihilation of Jews.

Israel have never wanted to deal with Hamas. That is pretty clear

Also reality - they're a neighbouring state government therefore Israel has no choice but to deal with Hamas. Eg agreeing work permit deal just 8 days before the terror attack.

Until Hamas are removed from power Israel will still have to deal with them - even post war. Because there's no choice.
That permit deal was just a reinstatement of places that Netanyahu had taken away. I'm not entirely sure it was ratified either, I think it was just "in talks". Netanyahu winding back the original good work done by the Benet Lapid coalition us the main talking point there.

OK sorry - that's what you would have us believe, when you post that in the context of the ongoing discussion.

What I've said is a fact.

The majority of rapes go unreported - FACT
Women and men very very rarely lie about sexual violence - FACT
2.2 million women in Australia have experienced sexual violence, it's not uncommon - FACT
In most courts, the penalty for murder is far greater than that of rape - FACT

And you want to claim, that through an attack of thousands of men on October 7 who were given the green light to do whatever they wanted to do, there was no sexual violence?

Please.

Norm Finklestein's embarrassing Hamas defense was that sexual desecration of corpses, which he seems to acknowledge happened, isn't sexual violence because "you can't cause physical injury to a corpse", therefore the UN is wrong. Weirdest Hamas defense ever. This is how disturbing the denialists get. What a disgusting little grift and rabbit hole of warped minded people the professional October 7th deniers are.

Not really, it's gone on too long now. Doesn't matter what they announce, Palestinians will always have the mass rapists label associated with them.

Hamas have that label.

Not Palestinians.

Not sure why you tar all Palestinians with the Hamas brush.

It's amusing that when the discussion is about IDF soldiers in West Bank covering up their faces you respond with something that is absolutely not related to IDF soldiers operating in West Bank.

Most likely because you can't back up the actual claim and try to shift the goalposts. You're well known for that tactic ghosty.

Yeah. That's not IDF soldiers hiding their faces in West Bank operations at all buddy. Do try and keep your responses relevant to the question posed.

Wow ... what kind of a person LOL reacts to a post about the horrific levels of sexual violence women experience?

PAFC66
Edgy people caught in radicalisation rabbit holes and echo chambers that are divorced from reality.

The internet was a mistake.

Not all 'Palestinians'. The men that were involved in the October 7 attack are not representative of all Palestinians.

Find this really gross. Using this assumption every hostage held for the last 15 months must also have been victim, over and over again. If they could run around with their pants down during a military operation, they must have really gone ham with hostages at their every whim. Is that your opinion also?

The facts probably are a bit gross.

Best not to put words in my mouth like that, especially given the exchanges we've had where I've been very careful to stress that nobody's suggesting all the hostages were sexually abused and that each with have their own experience, that may or may not be shared.

Those are some sexual assault facts for sure, but when it comes to Oct 7 you seem to be making some serious assumptions.

Of course and I agree, but if the thought is that Hamas operatives running on adrenaline in the middle of a deadly breakout from Gaza in firefights with IDF have the time to stop and think about committing sexual violence, surely when you have a hostage under your complete control, in your home/tunnel/bunker for 15 months...

I don't understand how one doesn't follow the other. But that's enough on that from me.

Not all 'Palestinians'. The men that were involved in the October 7 attack are not all Palestinians.

Blaming all Palestinians for the actions of the few would be like blaming all Catholics for the actions of Ridsdale or Pell. Or all Muslims for the actions of ISIS (which happens all the time).

I love the sentiment and of course I agree, but you guys must be in a bubble when it comes to Israel boosters around the world.

The way you think and talk about this whole topic is so disgusting and insensitive, LLD. "Gone ham"? Grow up, maybe? Is that how you would talk about this if your mother or sister was being held hostage by Hamas :thumbsdown: It's kind of gross and clear you really don't care about any of the victims of this.

I thought you could take it, because we are grown up, and it's internet fora.

It's ok, it didn't happen.
