If Netanyahu wanted the hostages back, Israel would have agreed to a ceasefire deal months ago.

Hamas didn't know if they had any hostages left alive to deal with....

Beirut, LebanonCNN —
The fate of the 120 remaining hostages in Gaza is crucial to any deal to end the protracted and bloody conflict between Israel and Hamas. But a senior Hamas official has told CNN that “no one has an idea” how many of them are alive, and that any deal to release them must include guarantees of a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

Hannibal Directive on Oct 7, for example.

What do you think the Hannibal Directive means and how was it implemented on October 7th? Use your words.

Kill anyone and everyone trying to return to Gaza, including any hostages they might be holding.

Wouldn't Israeli words be more appropriate to use?

Wrong, wrong and wrong. You have to read the article. No wait... you didn't even read the tiny snippet of the article you posted :embarrassedv1: At least read that part.

It's not "kill anyone and everyone". As it has been reported on, it refers specifically and only to Israeli soldiers in a hostage situation. In this circumstance the hostage takers must be taken out even if it puts the soldier's lives at risk. It is not "deliberately kill everyone", that's just stupid. The goal of the directive is to stop the kidnapping as a priority, not to deliberately kill your own soldiers.. let alone civilians.

Your head is filled with nonsense, because you're lazy and biased.

How many Israelis do you think were deliberately killed by the IDF on October 7th? How many Israelis in total do you think were killed by the IDF on Oct 7th?

Prevent vehicles returning to Gaza is not; "Kill anyone and everyone trying to return to Gaza, including any hostages they might be holding."

The article you reference does not support your statement. More disinformation from you.

I'm not sure why you take so much perverse pleasure from tragedy.

Given the conditions Israel have created in Gaza, I'm not the least bit surprised.

They're responding to an attack on their sovereign state.

So if that's Iran's response to a single foreign national being killed by Israel how do you think Iran would respond if Israel entered Tehran, murdered 1000 Iranian citizens in a few hours and took back 200+ as hostages to Israel?

I don't think Iran would do a genocide. Not without US support.

I'd be real careful here, how many Palestinians have Israel killed over the decades?

This is interesting reading.

Overview

  • Since coming to power in 1979, the Iranian regime has been implicated in assassinations, terrorist plots, and terrorist attacks in more than 40 countries.
  • Senior Iranian officials have declared that Iran follows and constantly surveils Iranian dissidents in other countries to “crack down on them” and “strike decisive blows.”
  • Iran’s global campaign of terror has included as many as 360 targeted assassinations in other countries, and mass bombing attacks that killed and maimed hundreds.
  • Iran engaged in these assassinations and other attacks primarily through the IRGC-Qods Force and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security, but also via third parties and proxies such as Hizballah.
  • Iranian diplomatic personnel have repeatedly been implicated in assassinations abroad, as evidenced by arrest warrants, judicial and police investigations, intelligence services, and witness reports.
  • As Iranian assassins using diplomatic cover have attracted increased scrutiny, Iran has showed willingness to use criminal gangs, drug cartels, and other third parties to carry out its assassination plots abroad.
  • Iran consistently lies about its involvement in killings abroad, even when its own diplomatic personnel are caught surveilling attack targets, providing explosives or fleeing crime scenes.

Maybe declare war but maybe not as US might still back Israel.

Kurve beating the drums for war?

Yes, Netanyahu needs to go to.

An informative Israeli article on the length Israel go to, to prevent Palestinian efforts at peace.
