Current WAR CRIMES Israel - * ICC issues warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu & Yoav Gallant & for Hamas's Mohammed Deif

The ICC has also issued a warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif, who Israel says they have killed.

According to the ICC, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that Deif was “responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence”.

It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were “part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel”.

For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber “found reasonable grounds to believe” that they “each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts”.

It also found reasonable grounds to believe that “each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population”.

I'm sure Israeli leadership would tell you it's justified. I'm sure Jazny will find those reports credible.

No civilian death is justified. In an ideal world there's no civilian casualties at all in war. Better yet no war at all - there was a standing truce agreed with Hamas in Aug 22 that was still in place on Oct 6, 2023.

Tragically in wars civilians suffer the most. That's reality for just about every war ever.

The bar way of stopping this is to have no war at all.

Unfortunately, Israel has a habit of killing Palestinian civilians regularly, without any need for a war.

Israelis had killed 38 Palestinian children in the West Bank between Jan 23 and Sep 23, for example. No war, apparently, just an endless brutal occupation and slow ethnic cleansing.

Strange how people are quite accepting of slaughtered Palestinians as 'unfortunate casualties of war' yet the same doesn't apply to the Israeli civilians.

Neither are acceptable, both are war crimes and crimes against humanity. As per the ICC arrest warrants.

It's strange how you come to that conclusion when you literally quoted a post that states no civilian deaths are acceptable.

True to form you are.

Yes. I've been consistently opposed to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Haven't heard you condemn a single poster in here that justified atrocities using psuedo legal arguments referenceing UNGA 37/43. Yet if I say something fairly obvious you will argue all day. I don't think your close to being consistent.

I've condemned Hamas plenty of times. Everyone just nods and agrees, no further argument or discussion required there.

When the western world starts being consistent with their treatment of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by allies, perhaps those of us opposed to slaughter of civilians won't have to keep repeating the same old things every day.

You have consistently failed to condemn Hamas for attacking hospitals in West Bank. Large scale mass murder (Ah Ahli hospital)

Torture, execution, murder, war crimes against Palestinian civilians.

Murder of Palestinian civilians from failed rocket attacks.

Attacking Israeli civilians from refugee tents while broadcasting it live, boasting about it.

It seems your concern for Palestinian civilians extends only to when Israel are alleged to have committed a war crime against them.

That's a lie.

You even know it's a lie because I've said this exact same thing to you, repeatedly, for months.

How about you stop doing this.

*** you had to go the effort of editing my post in your reply here.

And going by the saltiness of your reply it is obvious to all in this thread that your concern for Palestinians suffering war crimes doesn't extend to when Hamas is the responsible party for committing them.

Not asking you to condemn Hamas, asking you to at least push back against posters who openly justify clear atrocities or excuse them if you want to consider yourself consistent. Crickets from you on the October 7th was 'not particularly palatable' but was a form of resistance and justified under the wording of UNGA 37/43 conversation arc. I could go on with some truly unhinged hot takes from anti-Israelis... it's been wild. Yet from you, crickets.

Your posting for the most part seem to be reasonable, but if you were consistent I'd expect to see a lot more pushback the other way.

Except that I've repeatedly and consistently called Hamas a terrorist organisation and said anyone responsible should be punished.

No one argues with me when I say that about Hamas. So it simply doesn't need to be repeated.

Except to Zidane, who **** pretends he isn't well aware of my thoughts on Hamas.

Israeli settlers are a pretty significant security risk to Palestinians on the occupied west bank.

Nobody's saying the settlers don't need dealing with, not even Zev.

The settlers right now, are almost irrelevant in the scheme of a potential civil war in the West Bank or worse, if civil war probably is debatably the worst.

You don't hear much at all from those sorts. Of posters about Hamas war crimes, crimes of humanity against the civilian Palestinian population of Gaza & West Bank.

I'd be surprised if there was even a single post at all condemning these specific atrocities against Palestinian civilians.

That's certainly a take on things. The group causing most of the issues, over the longest period of time, are suddenly irrelevant?

If you removed every Israeli settler from Palestinian land in the West Bank, I suspect there'd be a lot less risk of civil war.
