The problem with not sacking him all the previous times he should have been, is they feel they can't do it now, because they can't answer the obvious first question of 'Why not all those previous times?' with the follow up of 'So you got it wrong then?'. No one (who isn't new) is going to go put the club before their reputation and admit they were wrong.

I have a mate who knows this guy well (Kingdom guy), all pretty interesting.

Can't imagine it matters on the board, but my mate spent his whole life wrapped around this stuff, not anymore.

As some one who has gone through hell and earth of the last 3 years to me this posting is a worry from. A person who is needing to be a stable board member.

I say this from the perspective that he’s going through change, reflecting on life choices. During the phase it’s hard to commit properly and be 100% invested.

Hope he comes out of it okay. Under immense stress the key is to stay true to yourself and remove external stresses from one’s life. Money is handy but it ain’t everything

I know his specific set of outside of football philosophies are a bit funny, but he's still well down the list of most problematic board members IMO. We've heard how he talks about footy. We know what his standards and opinions are. I'm not concerned at all about his ability to do the job.
