getting excited about meaningless wins harks back to the Robert Shaw era.

Collingwood beating St Kilda to go top after round 16 is something to get excited about. beating Geelong in a dead rubber at home, not so much.

as I said there is a lot to like, but there's a long way to go before you draw long term conclusions given the way we fell over at the start of the season.

Thats your problem. You sit there in your armchair and nit pick the bad from good, highlight the bad and brush aside the good. So because it is unlikely that Adelaide will make the finals, that makes the game a "dead rubber"? Adelaide havent got anything to prove so shouldnt even try? Cant make the finals so why bother? Your a joke.

What is meaningless about a team that has turned their season around from 0-6 and being flogged week in week out, to 7-3 and beating 2 of the top 4 teams recently, and breaking a losing streak against WC at a ground Adelaide dont play well. Whats meaningless about watching kids like Walker, Tippett, Hendo, Sloane, Jaensch, Danger etc compete and beat the top side?

I told you before why we fell over at the start of the season. But that wasnt enough for you. The playing group was a mess, the game plan was djusted to a more exact, 18 man zone, and there was kids playing in their first games week in week out. Why? Because 8-12 players were injured each week.

So whats changed? Underdone players are now fitter. Kids have 5-15 games experience and confidence, and understand their roll better. Injured players have returned. The game plan has been adjusted, and everyone is doing their job regarding the game plan.

Stop being so negative and look at the positives for once. And more importantly, be proud and happy about the positives

um not really. the crows over the past few years have always had a solid defense & in the last year or so have been working on building a multi-player forward line capable with more than 3+ players capable of kicking multiple goals. they havent been able to put it all together this year due to personal (didnt wanna say injuries see im picking up on craigisms) players down on confidence & fitness.

last night they played pretty much the way they always have defensively wise but the major difference was they moved the ball on faster/quicker than they usually do & went through the corridor a lot more.. if they play like that when they make the finals... god help us (especially us south aussies if they win the premiership) as i can see them with a realistic chance of winning the premiership from any position in the 8..

Neil craih has finally worked it out... to win finals you must take risk, be accountable for your opponent & play on at every opportunity.

Is this a bit of reverse pyschology here?

Need Carlton to drop out the eight first.

One week at a time, although Friday night was fantastic, Cats were a bit flat, and, remember, it was at home. Won't get a home final if Crows do sneak in. But did like what I saw....:thumbsu:

I don't understand 'supporters' who would rather wallow in negativity rather than get excited about even the possibility of playing finals with this side. The way we are playing now is made all the more remarkable because of where we have come from this year. The easy thing would have been to eat our own, sack the coach, blame the guy sitting next to you. But the way the guys have responded is a credit to the club, the coaches and players. If we get nothing else from this season, we have blooded a heap of young players and instilled a 'winning' mentality. 2011 and beyond is looking far brighter than in round 7!

Tough run to make the finals but at least i can enjoy the ride!

So you would rather Adelaide tank and get a higher draft pick because the season is over? That we shouldn't try to win games like Friday night because it is meaningless? You are very simple minded. Don't worry about the future or the confidence for the younger players that comes from a win against the reining premiers, flog. You have obviously been away from Adelaide for far too long to understand any of this, so I'll prepare myself for the typical, negative, nitpick response from yourself.

Tipped Adelaide pretty confidently actually, based on it being over there and the fact that our encounters with Geelong are so intense it's hard to get up the next week.

After our last seven clashes, they have lost 4 the following week, won 2 narrowly at their 'fortress' by 2 points to you and 20 to a poor Richmond, and flogged, once again, a poor Richmond.

The encounters really take it out of both sides, and I was concerned how we would go yesterday.

That said, it was a very good win, and if you can keep your injuries down you could make it and do some damage.

But my opinion of Adelaide is probably somewhere in the middle of Crow-mo's and everyone else's.

I found this picture of the juggernaut

A few amusing comments sprung to mind

Good win Camry Crows, but it was only possible thanks to Hawthorn tenderising the Handbaggers for you. Will be challenging Shitmond for ninth.:thumbsu:

Well, good to see im not the only one with this opinion ;)

Disagree, crow-mo's just saying it was a shit year for us considering that will probably be the highlight of what was expected to be a top 4 and shot at the flag year, which is a reasonable thing to say. Most would agree if he wasnt such a pompous w***er about it.
