Watching Cats v Doggies game in Auckland

Ahoy there fellow Cats fans,

I'm currently in NZ on a brief holiday and will be in Auckland on Saturday afternoon when the game is on - wasn't sure before I arrived whether it'd even be on live but have just confirmed on the Sky Sports website that the coverage starts on SS3 at 4pm.

Anyway I know this is a bit of a long shot but is anyone else in Auckland this weekend (or has ever been and watched footy here) and knows of a pub where I should go where there's at least a minor chance of finding another Cats fan? I'm dragging my kiwi ex-gf along (she's a Hawks fan, someone else in Melbourne got to her and I was unable to convert her!) so I won't be on my own but just thought I might look like a bit less of a twit in all my Cats gear if there's someone else there watching the game as well!

Just thought I'd put it out there anyway.. if anyone's got any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them!

Haha.. we were seeing each other a few years ago during the non-footy season - split up after not too long but stayed good mates and she's been good enough to put me up while I'm here, anyway the next guy she was seeing in Melb was a Hawks fan and by then the season was back on again.. she's already a typical Hawks fan tho.. soon as they start playing pish she doesn't want to know about them anymore!

Yeah.. I must admit I've seen quite a few navy and white hoop shirts walking around town and have been hopeful until I notice there's no Ford logo on them! Actually - the only thing I've seen since arriving here a week ago that's even remotely footy-related was a kid wearing a Bombers cap (congratulated him on Saturday night's win of course - the ex loved that) Guess I'm not all that surprised though, I wasn't expecting to see colours everywhere.. but this is worse than being in Sydney! It really is rugby left right and centre here - when I asked at one bar whether they would be showing any AFL games on the weekend, the lass said "sure, as long as it doesn't clash with any rugby game, and I mean ANY rugby game".. pfft.. this is a final for eff's sake!!

Anyway here's hoping the Cats shyte it in. Saw an interesting stat on the club site the other day actually (am sure it's been brought up in here already) The fact that every premiership team in the last 4 years has lost to the runner-up during the season. Let's hope it's Cats v Saints and history repeats itself.. would love to beat the 'Aints by a goal (after the siren would be ideal)

Good luck, not sure if it will be streamed or not, the clowns at the AFL are shutting down the live streaming services so you are forced to rely on that barsterd offspring of a site that is Bigopnd.

Hey guys, I'm in Warragul (!) watching this, playing very well, responded to that doggies attack beautifully. Most of my family are Cats supporters so hold a soft spot for you blokes... hope you can keep it up. Good luck!
