Feel like I'm watching a different player! I liked his game. Took the game on and yeah made a couple of blues, but I don't think the kick i50 was so bad. Was a genuine 1v1 at least rather than bombing it to may and Lever.
Liked his game as well. One of the shining lights of the season for me. I mean obviously it sucks that he was caught HTB but Milera is genuinely one of the best evasive players in the AFL. I want him to be trying stuff like that, it's why he's in the side. Sometimes it won't work out, that's fine.
Agreed, he still shrugged a few tackles today that genuinely looked like he was throwing off toddlers.
People knee jerk because he takes it on and yes can sometimes make a mistake. He's a high risk footballer. He's had a good season imo.
Need to have Redman, Hinge and Milera as our first-to-third best half backs. We’re lacking someone that can be the outright best HBF, right now

Apparently we are going after Bailey Williams. He can play half back apparently? I don't know much about him tbh. I reckon Nank could possibly play through the midfield at a later date.

Either way, I think I eventually like Nank up the ground, his best traits (poise/agility/aerial presence) are better used as a wing/mid, I think

He is a problem though. He's not getting any better from here out is he?
Isn't a defenders ***hole. Just doesnt know how to stand an opponent or stick a tackle (but yet can evade them). He might have a lovely kick, but he's a huge liability as an actual defender, and his intensity and desire to win the ball back when we do have it absolutely stinks.
Im pretty much sitting in the trade pile now. Bring in Redman who at least has the desire to fight to the bone defensively, and continue to trial a promising Nankervis at this stage imo.
This is outdated. His defending has improved a lot as the year has gone on. At least to a satisfactory level anyway.

Completely agree. I thought he had a good game yesterday - the long entry to a one on one is fine, and I'm happy for him to continue to be attacking in what he's trying to do, even if it sometimes won't come off. Better than than decending into his shell.
In hindsight he really should have done better here, even though I think he was good and had a good season.

I just watched the replay. The still is very misleading. Tex was being rapidly closed down: he wouldn't have marked it. Milera should probably have kept running and nailed the goal, just as he did against GC.

Totally agree with this, still image is very unfair on Wayne.
Watching live I was surprised he didn’t keep running and go for goal himself. At the same time Fog was being held yeah?

Probably because earlier in the quarter he was in almost exactly the same scenario, except he kept running, took a bounce and then ran himself into trouble. Fortunately Keays got a free kick a few moments later but it probably spooked him from trying it again.

Nah. Milera is a 25 year old class player who we have invested a lot of time into and actually still has a lot of upside.
Unless it's a top 10 pick, it's not worth it.
