I thought the pitch favoured the slower bowlers as the day progressed which is why Perry decided to give Bolton four overs instead of bowling herself and/or the two youngsters. Bolton bowled really well, especially her first two overs, she bowled over the wicket darting them in just outside off stump and Johnson, Haynes and Tryon found it difficult to get her away, especially with the tight offside field. She let it slip a little in her third when Tryon got on top, but then Cheatle and Gardner took the game away from the Thunder and her final over was pretty solid as well.

If Sammy never plays again for us it would be welcome she’s overrated and useless. Her last over lost the game it took a 150 at best score to 163, should never have bowled 4 her third over was bad enough!

Sixers are a great outfit but boy we didn’t help ourselves. I don’t care how good the pitch is for spin, you shouldn’t be letting Bolton stroll in at 3 an over! Gardner I get it, she’s actually good.

If you take step to the on side, it doesn’t change the normal rules for an offside wide but the onside wide changes to where your foot lands.
