There's got to be another record here. If we try real hard, we can be the first to finish 17th. See, there is a reason to continue turning up with the other 16000 supporters that give a sh!t. No doubt the club will still be able to find positives in that...

So we'll have biggest grand final loss, first team to start off 0-4 after making the GF (IIRC), first team to lose to the Gold Coast, first team to lose to a team coming off of the bye and first team to finish 17th in the space of 4 years.

History here in the making

What a laughing stock. There were smiles on the faces of some senior club officials at the after match function after the Hawks game (couldn't stay long enough today, which is probably a good thing, I would have got myself kicked out).

Very disappointing but not surprising we are where we are.

Who cares if we're the first team to finish 17th?!?

Without looking it up, can you tell me who was the first team to finish 14th, 15th, 16th?

Just like being the first team to lose to the Gold Coast, it's irrelevant in the Grand Scheme of things.

After we lost to the GC, I was dumbfounded when people seemed to think it was as bad as the 07 Grand Final. Ridiculous.

First time since round 12, 2000 that we will spend at least one round on the bottom. Just terrible. Can't see us winning another game for a while, not till at least round 14

I bet Crows fans will be laughing at us right now, but to those Crows people, hey, we beat ya!

Win/loss record since r1, 2008: 27/48

If I may just point out a few things regarding the current ladder and your remarks about Ports positioning:

I don't see anyone but the Gold Coast finishing last this year. While they may have 2 wins on the board, their kids are going to taper off significantly in the second half of the season when fitness gets the better of them one would think.

And while it may be beneficial to usually have more games left to play than not, when teams are not performing and matches are likely to result in losses, you're in a better position than they are as they have played two less games which realistically are going to be losses. I understand the onus is currently on you blokes to notch up another win to pass them, but the GCs' percentage would be even lower than it currently is without the byes, and they would likely have another 2 losses in that 'L' collumn if they were in your position(no byes yet).

You blokes have had a long first stretch and have been facing a number of clubs that have already been rested. Lets see how you fare once you've also had a rest and are coming up against teams who have played a large number of consecutive games since the bye.

The GC boys will tire towards the end, you'll finish ahead of them :thumbsu: And hey, even if you can't see too many more wins at the minute looking ahead, you've got one coming up in round19 in 2011 showdownII (so if the GC don't win another game, you've got them already!)

yeah I dont reckon we will get the spoon. It will get to the stage where we will get a nothing to lose mentality, some real fire in the heart from the youngsters, some choking opponents who are desperate to get into the finals, and we'll see a few wins under our belt before the years out

Long first stretch? we're the last team to have a bye.

Thats what he was referring to - We have a long stretch of games before the bye.....

Anyways, back on topic - we better not finish 17th for ****s sake
