isnt there another showdown this year?

im sure primus will fire Plan B at 3/4 time again to secure our 2nd win of the season

First time since round 12, 2000 that we will spend at least one round on the bottom. Just terrible. Can't see us winning another game for a while, not till at least round 14

I bet Crows fans will be laughing at us right now, but to those Crows people, hey, we beat ya!

Win/loss record since r1, 2008: 27/48

Not at all, i feel your pain.

na, not me, just empathising for them too

we can give them cripps rohde and laidley, heck, id throw in a lot of players and primus. i think they need to move on trigg and craig.

both in a bad way, not good for SA football at all

Anyone seen a movie called Major League? And if we are gonna suck we may as well be last shame we don't get priority picks like yesteryear clubs had cough saints collingwood

Yeah we are bottom, (yawn).......and your surprised.....I aint, I saw this coming last year when we lost Choco...

Yawn. I saw this coming when we had Choco. He really thought about the future and developing players. For the last three years of his tenure we had the oldest playing group in the AFl.

I think we are more like the Flint Tropics than Major League

Who cares if we're the first team to finish 17th?!?

Without looking it up, can you tell me who was the first team to finish 14th, 15th, 16th?

Just like being the first team to lose to the Gold Coast, it's irrelevant in the Grand Scheme of things.

After we lost to the GC, I was dumbfounded when people seemed to think it was as bad as the 07 Grand Final. Ridiculous.

my exact thoughts

Jono Brown makes a fair difference to Brisbane....kicked 4 goals in his first game back
Tredders... please make a come back!

Me and a mate were discussing this. He reckons Brown is worth 6 or 7 goals a game to brisbane - Kicks two, draws a man (worth two) and sets up two etc. etc.

I really hope we don't stay at the bottom, but **** its looking bleak. Its gotten to the point where i'd go balistic if we won, but I no longer care when we lose, and instead just watch players.

Have to have something to enjoy you know..

Was interesting to note D Ones information in response to a Hawthorn troll, that when the Hawks were bottom and we played them in July 2004 at the MCG, 11,682 turned up. Now look at the hawks membership and crowd. There is no reason why we cant have a significant increase in our future crowds when we finally give people a reason to attend games again. We have shown on about 3 or 4 occasions atleast we can get over 40,000 to our home games that dont involve the crows.

Not all doom and gloom, Hartlett and Boak are terrific midfielders that are only gonna get better, Trengove is making a fist of a career and lookiing the goods, not to mention O'Shea, wow he's been impressive

Throw Pittard into that too and Moore looks good. I find Phillips interesting also he shows something

I'm starting to see what the "coaches" see in O'shea, he isn't getting super possessions but he seems fairly fit and is starting to use the ball better... sorta :p

Our defence is quite interesting

In form
O'shea - 7
Trengove - 28
Jacobs - 2
Pittard - 8
Moore* - 9

Out of form
Carlile - 83
Chaplin - 110
Pettigrew - 98
Logan - 81

Not playing
Surjan - 103
Cornes - 235

Makes sense why we're leaking like a rusty tap, there's just no consistency from any of the experienced campaigners.

abc radio were discussing West Coast rise from bottom and why?

Experienced players are performing and injurY free this year ... Cox, Lynch, Embley, Kerr ... and not just performing but in their top 5 almost every week. Plus they are 30 and look like continuing.

Add in Glass as a key defender and Kennedy as key forward with LeCras as crumber plus some good kids, inc Schuey and Darling.

CompAre this to us? We have no forwrds or defenders of similar ilk, we have some good kids in midfield but our experienced guys who can help the kids are either shite or on their last legs or on the outer. I fear we are going to be down a long time.
