Pretty sure the reason that this trade didn't happen before today is because we had 'operation' in the thread title.

You and your muppet supporters are so fu****g deluded champ. Is it any coincidence that most supporters of other teams and people in the afl think we have a reasonable offer except for Cockingwood.I think it is Brisbane who should be ashamed. This young man with a dying dad declares he wants to play with his brother at Brisbane and all they have to do is part with a draft pick and one player and yet they choose to say NO and shatter the dreams of a dying man! Shame Brisbane.
Oh-and if everything you say is true, why did Beams refuse to attend the Copeland Trophy night? Harry had the guts to front up and he was leaving because he wanted to get out-no dying dad involved. Well?
He could go to Suns which is a good outcome for Beams and family. Really a week left. Not sure if they have salary space though.
Your club was ringing him all year saying you can have 800k a year. But on trade table you're club sees him as essentially worthless. It's unfortunate because if this was any other club you would've offered an untouchable + pick 5 no doubt.
Doesn't make sense. Even an idiot would realise an 800k a year player is worth more than 2 average picks
trying to create the illusion that their "Deadline" actually meant something.
Keep going. Please.
Collingwood are a very bitter and hate filled club. They'd want to hope nothing happens to MR Beams if Dayne doesn't get back home to Brisbane for next season.
Collingwood is 11 lol.I'm shocked that the Pies managed to find the Brisbane Board TBH Brisbane is an 8 letter Word afterall!
ahh well, one day, I salute your excellent choice in recreation activity and football club sir and I will pull a sneaky bilge in your honour nowBrisbane mate... Unfortunately
INb4 Pot calling Kettle Black PictureMaybe your club shouldn't have tried to low ball then.
Brisbane doesn't care about Dayne's father, only care about trying to get a bargain and use circumstance against Collingwood.
Don't worry, you need it more than usI might leave it there. Good luck for next year.
Strong trade period all round for the lions.
Christensen in, keep picks 5 and 25.
Collingwood can keep a disgruntled employee and probably miss out on Greenwood seeing as they lack the currency. They might get Varcoe though!
If pick 5 is average what is good pick?Your club was ringing him all year saying you can have 800k a year. But on trade table you're club sees him as essentially worthless. It's unfortunate because if this was any other club you would've offered an untouchable + pick 5 no doubt.

I already deleted mine and pulled my head in but F**K me some of these pies fans are so stupid and full of vitriol it hurts me and coaxes me into anger haha muppets..People, People, People... every time you quote a pies supporters, a 'Like' fairy loses teeth
5+25 would be the worst attempt at low balling ever.Maybe your club shouldn't have tried to low ball then.

Noticed not many smug collingwood supporters throwing their two cents in ATM. The realisation that inventing imaginary trades on Facebook and having reporters (so called) write articles on them, aren't enough to generate "winning" trade for them. Must be very dark place for them ATM.
And there it is... almost exactly as this former spin merchant would have written it... especially the "clearly we value him more than they do" line. Trying to mend fences already.

Even if you don't get Beams, your club should be applauded by sticking to its guns, and not compromise its integrity in rebuilding going forwards.
What Collingwood fans seem to fail to realize that Brisbane was totally pillaged in last year's trade period (which luckily may turn out to be a blessing in disguise with the fabulous kids you drafted from the go home 5) but The Lions (led by Swanny) have had to make a tough stand and say, 'WE WILL NO LONGER BE BUNNIES FOR OTHER CLUBS TO RAID'
I think Al Christensen and Mitch Robinson will be fabulous additions to your club.
Think you Lions are starting to get their mojo back, as a Carlton fan, i am very jealous of your youth, the good times are coming back to the Gabba, if not next year, then in 2016 and beyond
This was postulated on their board:Getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars less a year would not be a great outcome for Beams.
This isn't far wrong except that we get to keep Beams whom we rate higher than the picks. If you had a contracted player that was wantaway you wouldn't go under your own valuation. You didn't want to trade a player so an agreement couldn't be achieved, not that unfair really.Strong trade period all round for the lions.
