PLUS Your club board comp is now up!
Crisp being pushed out of the side?Brisbane's chances of still completing a trade haven't ended yet, but the period in which we were negotiating exclusively with the Lions has and who knows what might pop up next week now that we're not dealing exclusively with the Lions (remember there are things that can be done to on our side of the fence alleviate cap pressure for a club like the Suns if that's what it takes to facilitate a trade). As the Collingwood brass (and board) have said this isn't a fire sale - we actually want to keep him and he is a required player under contract.
One interesting thing to note is that if you did get Beams then having both him and Christensen added to your midfield rotation (along with Redden and Rich returning) will likely result in someone getting squeezed out (possibly a couple) and that's not counting Claye who would be an obvious casualty or even guys like Crisp and Lester (who probably wouldn't even get a look in).
There's not really an option to throw them in as a permanent small forward either with Zorko / Taylor / Greene already doing quite nicely in your mosquito fleet and I'm fairly certain that none of your current midfield rotation would go for being a bench rider and only playing half a game each week.
Just something to consider.
And there it is... almost exactly as this former spin merchant would have written it... especially the "clearly we value him more than they do" line. Trying to mend fences already.

But it isn't, and:Now that negotiations with Brisbane have ceased, Collingwood is free to pursue other opportunities involving players and picks. The club remains open to offers from other clubs for Dayne, if that is his wish.
Neither is this.If not, at the conclusion of the trade period the club will look to sit down with Dayne to prepare for the 2015 season.
What? That you guys break and accept picks 5 and 25? I'm confident that it will in fact happenSo it couldn't happen? I think it's a strong possibility.
Aish and McStay are guaranteed to be good players after seeing them at AFL level (Aish in particular). The guys they get at picks 5 and 25 in the draft may be as good or may be crap. No guarantee
I think it is Brisbane who should be ashamed. This young man with a dying dad declares he wants to play with his brother at Brisbane and all they have to do is part with a draft pick and one player and yet they choose to say NO and shatter the dreams of a dying man! Shame Brisbane.

Yes, so how shit does your club look that you couldn't even take 5 + 25?I think it is Brisbane who should be ashamed. This young man with a dying dad declares he wants to play with his brother at Brisbane
No he's def not a free agent at the end of next year. As I said though collingwood will be more amenable to a trade rather than lose him for nothing. Not really as high stakes for us this year. How is it Collingwood folk have no idea about the free agency status of such a highly valued player???
So Brisbane Recruiters > Collingwood Recruiters.
Lol.I think it is Brisbane who should be ashamed. This young man with a dying dad declares he wants to play with his brother at Brisbane and all they have to do is part with a draft pick and one player and yet they choose to say NO and shatter the dreams of a dying man! Shame Brisbane.
Oh-and if everything you say is true, why did Beams refuse to attend the Copeland Trophy night? Harry had the guts to front up and he was leaving because he wanted to get out-no dying dad involved. Well?
Oh I forgot Scenario 5 Collingwood trade Beams to Brisbane for pick 1 and 10 or similar after an outstanding year.
Scenario 6 Collingwood resign Beams on a long term contract. Examples Ryan OKeefe.

Ty and fixedResign him and we get him as a delisted free agent.
He could go to Suns which is a good outcome for Beams and family. Really a week left. Not sure if they have salary space though.Collingwood are a very bitter and hate filled club. They'd want to hope nothing happens to MR Beams if Dayne doesn't get back home to Brisbane for next season.
you in Melbourne? could be difficult otherwise.. if so Right On!
Your club was ringing him all year saying you can have 800k a year. But on trade table you're club sees him as essentially worthless. It's unfortunate because if this was any other club you would've offered an untouchable + pick 5 no doubt.Yes, so how shit does your club look that you couldn't even take 5 + 25?
Ordinary post.
die in a hole scumbag
Lol.
