I didn't mention what the trade could be if you read my post. FWIW I was actually thinking along the lines of 4+24+Crisp 4 Beams + 4th Rounder but that's just my personal opinion.

Interesting to see how this impacts Claye. On the one hand it may spur him on to become a part of our best 22. I hope so. On the other hand, it could add some unwanted pressure to match his brother who, let's be honest, even allowing for his few extra years experience and Claye's injuries, is looking like he will be the more accomplished player.

"Looking like"...na I think we know the answer to that already. Beams can become a very handy player but we are talking about Michael & Brett Voss like talent comparisons here. Dayne Beams and Christensen coming in only makes it harder for fringe players to get into the team, and they will need to really set up to get that chance. Great for the Lions. The days of development games are coming to an end and we are coming out the other end of that Dark Tunnel we drove into

That's my point. Collingwood throwing that at us makes it look like they won the trade and sent it purely out of pity. Pick 48 is a much more realistic pick.

Jono Freeman, Zac O'Brien, Jordon Bourke, Justin Clarke, Jack Crisp, Claye Beams, Mitch Golby and Matt Maguire.
