Wednesday Night desperation - Northern states playing a weird form of footyball

NRL State of Origin.
We've already seen a hit that would have an AFL player rubbed out for 10 weeks (or a receive severe reprimand if you're Brayden Maynard).

NSW seem to have worked out that occasionally kicking the ball is a handy way of moving the ball.

A team once Balmain I think won a game from almost the kickoff position, they actually field goaled it, they came back like 20 points down in 10 minutes and leveled the scores. Play restarted, some kind of penalty or something strange somehow they got to kick the ball from the middle and it was like some kind of torp kick of the ground that went a 100 metres. I could be exaggerating that last bit but I dont remember it as a kick that was coming up short!

I have a friend in Sydney who is still not over losing Balmain.
I went to the Grade 1 final which was the last time we saw Balmain pre-merger with West's.
