Agreed, it happened to us in 2016 (and also in 2012 mind you)And then you have the scenario that a team that finished 6th or 7th has an extra 2 days break over a team that finished top 4. Would be totally unfair

If Port loses how much would they have to lose by for the Cats to go past them on percentage and host the QF?
Plus would that final definitely be at the MCG or is there a chance it will be at the Cattery?
I reckon Port will be on the Thursday night if they’re hosting.

Also said highly likely Lions v Blues/Dockers will be Friday night.Ralph said Sydney v GWS to avoid NRL.
Tell him he's dreaming. Cats home venue for finals is the MCG.(KP)
Too bad. 8th team doesn't get any favours in terms of fixturing.Freo (should they make it) will have to visit 3-4 states to win the flag. Given the travel road ahead for Blues/Freo (QLD-NSW-maybe SA) the Thursday would be kind.
If Brisbane have to play Friday, and Swans on Thursday, can't have two games at the G on Saturday.Tell him he's dreaming. Cats home venue for finals is the MCG.
Thur: Sydney v GWS (SCG)
Fri: Lions v Freo (GABBA)
Sat Arvo: Cats v Port (KP)
Sat Night WB v Hawks (MCG)
Maybe the Cats can have Marvel lolIf the cats got KP then Dogs should get Docklands
Should but won't happen. Dogs v Hawks will draw the bigger crowd so gest the GIf the cats got KP then Dogs should get Docklands
No troll, but can someone explain to me how Swans can play a team from their state at a smaller stadium (as opposed to Homebush) - but if Geelong hosts a final against a Vic team it’d have to be at the MCG?
Should be at Homebush to get a crowd of 50k-60k instead of 40k but think it has to be at the SCG for contractual/logistical issues.can someone explain to me how Swans can play a team from their state at a smaller stadium (as opposed to Homebush)
It is technically possible, happened a lot during the covid yearscan't have two games at the G on Saturday.

Because the AFL fly by the seat of their pants. No integrity at all and play us loyal fans for fools year in year out.No troll, but can someone explain to me how Swans can play a team from their state at a smaller stadium (as opposed to Homebush) - but if Geelong hosts a final against a Vic team it’d have to be at the MCG?
Because Accor Stadium is an absolute shithole and not fit to host AFL gamesNo troll, but can someone explain to me how Swans can play a team from their state at a smaller stadium (as opposed to Homebush) - but if Geelong hosts a final against a Vic team it’d have to be at the MCG?
They should but the contract says one game at the G and since Geelong finish higher, they should be allowed to have the game at GMHBA.If the cats got KP then Dogs should get Docklands
