Two down, three to go, then I think we win a prize.
Allan
Allen
Allin?
Allon?
Allun?
AnusSo what are we going with here. BoA, the Constrictor, choke the **** out of oppo mids.
They’re not all winners alright, let’s just get some ideas going here, no wrong answers.
Dawson also doesn’t have anywhere near the athleticism of Allan.Thing is, take out Jordan Dawson's kicking and he turns into a pretty mid talent.
Which is exactly what the downside people are seeing with Allan.
I'm with Squash. Whilst it's nice getting a "highly rated talent tipped to go earlier"… i honestly couldn't see why he was ranked so high in the first place. Loads of knocks on his game.
Because that description could be Ginbey and a midfielder he isn't.How people can’t see a midfielder in an All Australian, fast, agile, powerful athlete with a penetrating kick and appetite for the contest is beyond me.
How do you know? He’s played 40 gamesBecause that description could be Ginbey and a midfielder he isn't.
Baker, Graham and Owies also apply a lot pressure.Seriously with Bo, Ginbey and Reid in the team the opponent isn't going to want to pick the ball up given the way all 3 of those tackle.
He and Ginbey to have a staunch, blonde, half back flank-off.
Welcome to the club mate.
What is this based on?Allan more likely to make it as a mid than Ginbey which means we add a big strong body to complement Reid and Hewett whilst allowing Ginbey to settle long term as a HB/3rd tall defender
If Hall and Chesser can both develop as well we potentially have a pretty powerful midfield in years to come
Stoked that he lasted to our pick, although I do suspect that Melbourne/Richmond/St Kilda may have been feigning their interest in him a tad as a smokescreen for their preferred targets
That said he was often rated in the top 10 of a lot of rankings predraft so whilst there was some reluctance here towards him due to his Ginbey similarities , he has the ability to become a very good long term player for us
Stoked to have him

I'd take another defender of Shep's quality in a heartbeatHis highlight package is a bit meh. Just a lot of intercept marks. Made me think of Shep a bit. I won't comment on his midfield potential until I see it.

I don’t think I’ve seen much that screams mid to me.
Even Wardlaw's not even a great example, though people will use him to compare to Ginbey to shit on Reuben. How do you know? He’s played 40 games
Who from his draft bar Wardlaw is currently impacting in the middle?
