Now its done im saying its the best first year I've seen for the club (including Judd)

Guy McKenna's first season is the best first year for a young player i've seen at the club. Like Woosh won the club champion award in his second year.

Kemp's first year was very special as well

Personally think Cousins in 96 was very special in his first year.

So it's up there but i'd probably have it equal third with Cousins first year. Think McKenna and Kemps first seasons were better.

As I was too young to remember, How the hell did 24year old Andrew Donnelly win the emerging talent award, over the rising star Ben cousins? Seems a bit odd.

Andrew Donnelly was right up there with talent and potential. Was awesome watching him.

There's a fair story behind it but I think it's one of those things that are best kept in the sands of time.

Lets just say he should have won the award but the club gave it to someone else to tell him you're good but you're not that good, yet.

Club might do that with Harley this year give it to Jack Williams instead😂

Worked wonders to keep his head screwed on right too!

Fantastic debut season. It's kinda funny in hindsight that we were all worried about him coping with media pressure and being physically targeted by opponents, when it turns out he's both a cocky little punk who loves the spotlight and a savage nut who thrives on violence. It's been beautiful to watch so far, and I haven't been this hyped to watch a player's career unfold since Naitanui. He's 100% the kind of player you rebuild around. Toss him the keys to the Eagles and let's ****ing go!
