I was annoyed when we got Chol and especially Gunston as I knew it would take games away from Ramma. Chol has been a good pick up but we need to play Ramma in the seniors. I’ve watched him a lot at Box Hill he always does one or two things a game that gets me very exited. A few have said he will be a Forward/Ruck. I believe he will be our Number one ruck in the mould of a Blivacs/Jackson type that becomes an extra follower around the ground.

Don’t think we have to worry about Gunston if he played like he has this year so far .
Hopefully Ramsden stays in for the rest of the year if his playing like he did yesterday to get games into him.

Gunston can use his Leadership at Box Hill and do the role Nick Holland did in the last rebuild.

Really impressed yesterday. Presented really well all game, took some good marks, took his shot at goal well and held up in the ruck. Give him a month if we can somehow.
Probably affords us the opportunity to give Lewis maximum time to recover his hamstring, maybe even give Chol a mini break as he's copped a bit of a beating in the games so far and I wouldn't be surprised if he's carrying a niggle or two.

I'm also a big fan of playing all 3 athletic talls.

100% we can play all 3.
Will spell the end for Gunner though.

If Gunston stays fit then there would surely be another opportunity to play more games. Between Lewis, Chol and Ramma there will be missed games.

Has ramma ever played KPD? Have we tried that?

I’ve only ever seen Ramma in the ones on tv and to me he looks like he has a few tools to play chb but interesting to hear what BH watchers think.

I didn't see the game but, on the numbers, he had a day out: 23 disposals, 26 hitouts, 6 clearances and two goals.

The numbers can be deceptive, so it would be good to get reports on him from those who watched the game.
His opponent Vigo Visentini is clearly the last ruckman on the Bombers AFL list. Still only 18 and was selected at #8 in the rookie draft last year.

So someone Ramsden definitely should have dominated - which he did.

Max is also a rookie pick up and has only just recently turned 21. I get your point but let's not forget it's only really just clicked for Meek at the age of 26, these guys take time and it was terrific to see him take over a game the way he did

Ramma was excellent on Sunday. Very solid ruck work - stats had 27 HO to Ramsden, 25 to Visentini, but Visentini must have been credited with a few that were halved, I hardly saw Ramsden get beaten. His clearances included some really clean effective handballs, and a couple where he took the ball out of the ruck and then disposed of it quickly. His 9 marks were mostly contested. It was a complete game, should be great for his confidence.

Has gone under the radar with the games from others. Saw at one stage he took a saving mark in D50 and then barely a minute later he's taken one down the other end in F50. Definitely a player there.

Ruck and KPF are unforgiving positions.
They're not roles in which a team has much tolerance for a young player to learn in the seniors.
Ramsden will need to put together a decent body of work before he pushes out any of our rucks or forwards, unless we are hit with injuries.

Good to see him hit good form though.

I think one thing is that Ramsden has said in a few interviews that he sees himself as a forward first and ruck second and that's kind of how he's been most of the time.

Now with Meek Injured and Reeves in the 1s and Lynch gone he's playing number 1 ruck and his running ability can expose other rucks and have him really involved.

He may be another number 1 ruck but he's undersized for that at AFL level.

Ramsden is not undersized height wise 200 plus cm. The muscle is coming, each pre season he improves.

I thought he was 200cm, Gawn, Reeves, Witts all around 210

203cm and he can jump! Gawn is a freak.

Luke Jackson 199 cm
Kieren Briggs 201 cm
Toby Conway 206 cm
Sean Darcy 203 cm
Sam Draper 205 cm
Todd Goldstein 201 cm
Brodie Grundy 202 cm
Rohan Marshall 201 cm
Lloy Meek 201 cm
Reilly OBrien 201 cm
