So we now have the No:1 & 2 priority picks from the 2005 Draft. :D

Congrats to you guys, going to sting seeing Daisy trying to win games for Carlton but such is life. Imagine how you would feel seeing Murphy or Gibbs playing for us. Most of us would have loved to have kept him, but not for the coin you're offering.

Sorry but cant resist pointing out that we still have the best player from that draft, took him at pick 5

Adelaide is paying Betts $500k and you're not willing to pay Daisy $600k.. either salary cap squeeze, Daisy just wanted to leave or just standard Collingwood pure insanity.

Don't think it's yet fully sunk in with me that Dale Thomas is a Blue Boy now.

Can't wait to see him in the Navy Blue polo and what not. :thumbsu:

Head over to the pie board and ask them if he is a blue boy just to make sure?

I'm not sure the biggest spit deflection shield would be enough

100% agree with Collingwood's stance.

Why?

Daisy injured his ankle towards the end of 2012, went surfing instead of having the operation(pissed the club off no end) and wasn't ready for the first few rounds of the year. Injured his ankle again after a few games and instead of having a reconstruction as suggested by a specialist, decided to rest it.

Rested for several months and came back to VFL level about round 18 or 19 and lasted 5 minutes before he broke down for the third time within 12 months( alarm bells sounding , if you were Collingwood's list manager????). Offered a performance based contract, as the Pies were quite rightly concerned about his ability to recover( sound policy). Daisy declined for a far better offer from the Blues. (Can't blame him for that)

Let's hope he does get over his injury, but he will be a huge risk. Maybe Carlton have a miracle cure. I know a little bit more about his situation, but prefer not to go into it lest it end in another shit fight with the less intelligent on your board.

But as I said, agree totally with what Collingwood did.

Always liked Daisy as a player, so I hope he does get back to being the player he was. I will never forget the tackle that brought down Rioli in the 2011 PF. Virtually won us the game.

Best run along back to your own Board!!!

The way collingwood supporters are going at the moment, I don't know if I should laugh, or run a shower for them to sit under just to cry themselves to sleep.

Long time since our highest paid player was only on 700K (after incentives). Looks like the cap management is starting to get under control. Collingwood's salary cap being choked by some fat contracts was always going to squeeze someone out. Hopefully he gets on the park for most of season and earns the full 700K.

Yep. Arguably the only players on our list which will be earning $700,000+ for the next few years are Murphy and Thomas. Salary cap won't be an issue.

When Judd, Carrazzo, Waite all retire etc. retire in 2 years or so we will have another war chest of cap space which should see us land a few more big fish.

There's clause in Thomas contract regarding amount of games each year
