As someone who is employed in the media, that’s his job?

I never click on anything to do with Kane Cornes now. He's capable of good footy analysis but I'm just sick of all the click bait rubbish that he spews out.Last week I heard him complain about club's posting pics of their players training during the off season..
Neither do I. This was on sen.I never click on anything to do with Kane Cornes now. He's capable of good footy analysis but I'm just sick of all the click bait rubbish that he spews out.

Without fail you defend the journo. Every single timeI don’t get it, what’s unreasonable about that?
The players are on holidays, shouldn’t their clubs be leaving them alone?
The players are employed by the club. The club has every right to take pictures of training.Without fail you defend the journo. Every single time
The club's aren't hassling the players. Players post pics of themselves training. The club reposts them on their account.
Most supporters generally enjoy seeing the players dedication & motivation for the next season..
Yet Cornes typically finds something negative about it. He doesn't think seeing them training in the preseason is worth noting or seeing at all.

Exactly. Hence why it was a silly thing for Kaneo to complain aboutI’m not going to have a crack at a journo for doing their job?
Yeah, I get what’s going on.
The players are on holidays. it’s none of our business what they’re doing. If a player wants to publish what they’re doing on their own social media - that’s their prerogative. But it’s no business of the clubs or ours IMO.
Just WOW .... even WOWWEEE !!
Offered everything we had by way of draft capital and players and altho was never enuf for a player of Dan's stature, the fact that we did genuinely try our best means the managers get involved and I'm guessing have long memories and clubs have reputations. Ours is that we always try our best and generally pay overs,.... but not this time.
Well done all involved at the club over the journey. Reputations aren't made in a week (can be burned in a week tho!).
Go PIES !!!!!
For 800 k plus that seems fair and reasonableThe players are employed by the club. The club has every right to take pictures of training.
If the player is posting holiday pics on socials and the club reposts the pictures with their permission then what’s the issue?I’m not going to have a crack at a journo for doing their job?

I don’t think you get what’s going on at all tbh.
Are you taking the piss here because I genuinely can’t tell.My employers have always respected my right to my time and my privacy when I’m holidays.
Maybe you’re right, maybe I am a unique case and I don’t get it?
Does your employer contact you when you’re on holidays? Do they repost your social media happy holiday pics to their feed?
For the record, Cornes wasn't whining about the player's privacy. My employers have always respected my right to my time and my privacy when I’m holidays.

We’re talking about players in the public eye, …
For the record, Cornes wasn't whining about the player's privacy.
He was having a go at player's &/or their club's posting pics of themselves or their player's training during the off season. He thought it was embarrassing, looked silly & not worth posting about at all... including the player's themselves posting on their own public social media accounts.
I'm not sure how this commentary has now turned into a privacy issue. That wasn't what Kaneo was having a whinge about.
You realise majority of footballers have public social media accounts? They post on these accounts for the prime reason of being seen doing whatever it is they want us to see..No we’re not.
It’s off-season.
They’re in the public eye for the other 10 months of the year. That’s not now.
Apart from their contractual obligations to not to bring the AFL into disrepute, and to maintain some semblance of their fitness base - for these two months of off-season they are just Joe citizens like you or I.
You sound new to social media.IMO …
Re: Players. If they want to show their Grandma what they’re up to, then that’s great and a credit to them. But that’s best done on private channels. They’re on holidays and it’s important that they give themselves a break, recharge, rejuvenate. Get themselves primed for a big year next year. And that means taking a break from
providing a commentary to the social media crazies like you and me. I don’t think this is wrong, I just think this is ill-advised.
Re: Club. I think this is wrong. The club shouldn’t be encouraging it.
As for us, surely we should be able to take a two month break from inspecting the contents of Nick Daicos’ daily poo?
IMO …

I think you lack a fundamental understanding of what being in the public eye means. No we’re not.
