Will be very interesting how they will want to structure up.
I do believe thats basically the WHE role.
So is WHE the odd man out if there is no position down back or on the wing. Or maybe we go with one ruck. Whatevever the solution, it's a big change up to what we have done before. While WHE is classified as a third tall, but he isn't really. And because we play two talls, 4 smalls and 2 rucks plus rotating mids through the forward line, we generally don't play a third tall.

WHE is the most versatile player in team
He should always play if his form is good

That's only because we were out of wingers last year and WHE was needed to play forward. No one went past him as a wingman last year and it's likely that Sidey won't be a wing anymore.

If it comes down to Lippa or WHE as wing, I'd be confident they'd go with WHE. Even if just for flexibility.

Sidey stitched up Gulden, Neale and Viney playing as a run with mid when he went there at the end of the year. I think they'll keep that going.

It's messy.

They don't want to go one down in the defensive structure whilst the sub is happening. We tried it against Brisbane in 2023 and kept giving away 6-6-6 infringements.

My starting 23 forward line is: McStay, Mihocek, Membrey (Triple M lol), Hill, Elliott and Schultz

Beau needs to step up into the middle now, it's time. I also assume we'll rejig the ruck/2nd ruck setup

And who plays on Frampton's key forward opponent if Frampton has to switch into the ruck..? Cameron isn't doing it.

Generally you don't rotate key defenders into the ruck rotation.

It's a more complicated rotation as you have to first shift someone into defence before releasing Frampton - and it's not the first ruck.

We did try it against Brisbane when we had both rucks out early 2023 and McStay and Johnson were getting murdered in the ruck. We kept giving away 6-6-6 frees. Becasue it requires heaps more moving parts than simply - forward off, 2nd ruck on, ruck forward - which is about as complicated as it gets with a forward as second ruck.
