I'm so unfit it's not even funny. I've always been that way; even when I was 25kg lighter. I'm way too sedentary for my own good so this is going to take a slow and gradual change to have any chance at all of success; rather than trying to go in all guns blazing and end up falling flat on my fat arse. I think I'll start with just trying to ride my exercise bike 3 times a week, for 15 minutes each time, and build up from there. It's slightly complicated by the side effect of my migraine preventative giving me a greatly increased appetite; but I just have to be more mindful of what I eat and when, and try to find some other strategies to cope when I feel like I need something to eat, even when I just ate.

Start Weight - 80kg.
Height - 160cm (with my shoes on).
Current Weight - 79.1kg.
Ultimate Goal Weight - 55kg.

So just recorded 94.7kg on the scale today. I was 106kg Jan 1st 2016 and haven't been below 95kg since 2011. Going to the gym roughly 4 times a week , trying to increase that to 2 days on 1 day off. Really excited about the next 5kg.

EDIT: So on average losing a kg per week which I am quite happy with.

Get someone to download Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul for you. Mike Ehrmantraut is the bloke in my avatar.
Is better call Saul any good? Watched an ep when it first came out but didn't really get into it.

Woke up at 4.30am today, for no reason other than i found myself wide awake and thought... damn.

Off to the gym then. Smashed out some cable flys and dumbbell presses and calf raises and tricep presses and half an hour on a cross trainer, then capped it off by eating a banana. Got to work, had a shower, sat in the chair, not even 8 o'clock, Like a boss. Like a sad, sad boss who really wanted a chocolate cake instead.

This week's weigh in is tonight. Last time I did this I weighed in every two days (!) but this time instead of pressuring myself like crazy, going gently, like a steamroller, and checking in only once a week. Will post my total loss when i find out.

let's hear some updates.

I have fallen off of the exercise bandwagon. Have not been to the gym since Christmas. Have kept up the healthy eating and playing cricket/beach volleyball, but I need to rediscover the motivation.

Breaking up with the gf really messed with my head. I am now motivated by an upcoming trip to Bali, so need to jump back in.

Had been meaning to get back this week BUT I actually have had a legitimate excuse (see pic)

Like a rainbow, nice. I bet there's a good story about that one, they don't just happen when you walk into something.

Oh, and I talked to your girlfriend - she's a bitch. Get buff and then rub it in her face that she

at least you're eating and getting fresh air.

Danoz tell us how your fitness regime is going, like

I benched pressed a car the other day

Calm down, it was a small car

that kind of thing
I bench pressed a car the other day.

It was a matchbox.

I'm not going to weigh myself. Life has been too difficult to worry about something silly like exercise.

I played a few minutes in my first O35 soccer game on Sunday - the day after I bought a new fitbit (Charge HR). Good to see when I'm in the fat burning stages, and when I'm in Cardio mode. But I'm still unfit.

I'm more motivated now to get on the treadmill. Forced myself to 10,000 steps the last two days. Got off an earlier bus stop today.

The new fitbit meant I went back and looked at my weight history from my old fitbit (lost Aug 7 after a Crows victory against the Tigers!). I was 94kg back them. So 7kgs gained in 7 months. :( Hope I can lose them in a shorter timeframe.

I seem to have quite large fluctuations during the week , up to 2 kg but find I record a new minimum every 7 or 8 days. Today would be 7 but hoping in the next few days to get another reading.

I'm good, but I'm not on some fitness routine out of the ordinary for me. I've always had good endurance; I could not run for a month and have a poor diet, but still pull out the same time for a 5km I did a month ago. I still eat all my junk foods, I try to eat more vegetables, and I still drink beer and red wine. My weight seems to always hover around the same mark as well, sorry everyone!

However, I did go for a 3km time trial on the treadmill a couple of weeks ago as I had a shit day, and pulled out a time of 11 minutes 23 seconds. That felt good, but I have done better and want to get under the 11 minute mark.

Moral of the story, dont piss off a fast bowler by hitting him for consecutive fours!

I hate running on treadmills. I hate running in real life too, but it's infinitely preferred.

That's a good time for 3km, great stuff mate.

I agree, running for a purpose i.e chasing a ball etc. I can handle. Running for the sake of running has never held appeal to me.
